Marvel's
Guardians of the Galaxy easily has one of the best soundtracks out of all the films in the MCU, and now Disney is giving park visitors a chance to rock out with Star-Lord and Gamora. Starting today, June 9, Disney is running a new musical show inspired by the film's soundtrack at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot. The show will feature tracks from the two movies' soundtracks, Awesome Mixtapes 1 and 2.
The show,
Guardians of the Galaxy - Awesome Mix Live! will "take guests on a musical journey through the cosmos," the company teases. Guests can catch the show, which is included with theme park admission, five times a day up through August 19. The show will undoubtedly familiarize guests with the film ahead of the opening of the new Epcot
Guardians of the Galaxy attraction (which replaced the Universe of Energy attraction hosted by Ellen).
In addition to the show, Epcot - which is host to an assortment of unique drinks and food from around the world - will feature special offerings inspired by the
Guardians of the Galaxy. This includes a delicious-sounding Rocket Fuel Slushy with frozen Coca-Cola and bourbon - undoubtedly great for beating the Florida heat. There's also an "I am Float" Root Bear with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and mint leaves, as well as the Awesome Mix Slushy with layers of frozen lemonade, blue raspberry, and strawberry. Check out some of the food and drinks Epcot will have: The Galaxy Cupcake with buttercream and white chocolate pieces also sounds pretty delicious.
The
Guardians of the Galaxy festivities at Epcot will run through August 19.
