Vin Diesel Talks GROOT'S & ROCKET'S  Friendship; Says Its "Exciting And I Want More"

Vin diesel sat down with Access Hollywood and told just how excited he is about Groot's relationship with Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. He also tells how his family had an impact on his decision to accept the role for Groot in the film. Hit the jump to check it out!

Guardians of the Galaxy star Vin Diesel sat down with Access Hollywood and talked about the relationship that Groot and Rocket Raccoon has throughout the film "I saw the movie and I was just like, I love these two and these two love each other and they have a real relationship and that's exciting and I want more." He then gives praise to the guys who did the CGI on the film, and tells how James Gunn protected the chemistry of the characters. "Again, that's a testament to both the CGI guys that created such a framework for my character and to James Gunn for protecting that chemistry and assisting that chemistry. Because it really does come off in the film."

He also told what his family had to do with him excepting the role for Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, "I don't think [Marvel] thought that I would do the role, but when I got it, when I got the concept art, I went home and I showed it to my family and I asked them, 'Which character do you think they want daddy to play?' and the kids pointed to the tree and there was something in that moment where I went, 'This is going to tap into people in a way that I can't even explain." So Vin Diesel is saying after watching Guardians of the galaxy on August 1st , the way Groot is portrayed will have a big impact on viewers everywhere across the world. Sound off below!

I heard he may have done some motion capture work too, I thought it was cool that he was so committed to the role, that must have been a fun set to be on

Vin is great choice to do voice work but he needs to be an actual character in the Marvel U on film.
Not sure who really,voicing Groot shouldn't eliminate him from showing up as someone else.
Dennis Haysbert can voiceover Vin so there is no similarity with Groot,ha!

Vin Diesel for Blackbolt in the future Inhumans movie. The role requires immense presence and body language which Vin has, screams/whispers/grunts, which Vin is a master at, and no actual speaking, which is Vin's weakness.
