'Ronan The Accuser' Won't Be Back in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2, But May Still Return
Lee Pace (The Hobbit) recently made it clear that he hopes to return as Ronan the Accuser in a future instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and while James Gunn has confirmed it won't happen in the sequel, he may still reappear! Hit the jump for details on that and more...
James Gunn too part in a pretty innovative live Q&A on Facebook last night, answering fan questions while they watched Guardians of the Galaxy at home. There were a lot of interesting bits of info revealed, with one fan asking the director about Lee Pace's comments about reprising the role of Ronan the Accuser (despite his apparent death). "Who knows," he replied. "But not in 2, no. Perhaps someday." That's obviously very vague, but many fans were disappointed to see Ronan killed off, especially as he goes through something of a redemptive story arc in the comic books. When and if that will happen remains to be seen, but Gunn has big plans regardless! "I knew what gotg2 was essentially going to be about halfway through shooting. I basically have plans for three other stories connected to Guardians if I stay with marvel that long." What do you think?
