Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 actress Karen Gillan recently revealed that reading the script for the Marvel Studios threequel left her in floods of tears, and we may now have an inkling of what made the Gunpowder Milkshake star so emotional.
Howard the Duck voice actor Seth Green recently sat down for an interview with ComicBook.com, and although he wouldn't confirm or deny his involvement with Vol. 3, he did reveal a pretty major detail about the story.
"I don't know if Howard's a part of it, I haven't heard anything about that," Green responded when asked if he's set to reprise the role of the smartass water fowl. "The only thing I know is that it's the girls' story, it's the sisters' story, that it's Gamora and Nebula's story. So I don't know if it's a prequel, or if it comes off in the new timeline that's splintered post-the Time Heist. Honestly, I don't know anything about it."
Well, you do know that one pretty significant thing about it!
Director James Gunn has already dropped a few hints that Gamora would be a big part of the third movie, but it sounds like her relationship with her sister is going to be the main focus. The original Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, and the version who'll be reintroduced in Vol. 3 killed her timeline's Nebula in Endgame.
So, it's probably safe to assume we can expect a unique dynamic between the characters we reconnect with in what has been confirmed as Gunn's final GOTG film.
We're sure the filmmaker will share more details soon, but for now, all we know for certain is that the core team will return for more intergalactic adventures, and there's a pretty good chance not all of 'em will make it to the end credits!
