Guillermo del Toro on Hellboy 3!

Guillermo del Toro says that Ron Perlman is the man to ask about a new Hellboy film.

MTV talked with Guillermo del Toro and asked him about Hellboy 3. He indicated that Ron Perlman was the man people should be asking about the film.

You know, I think that everyone should ask Ron [Perlman]," said del Toro. "I had dinner with [Perlman] last night. He said 'six hours [in the makeup chair], what do you want?'" And he's doing 'Sons of Anarchy' without makeup. He's spoiled! He likes to be the big cheese without the makeup session."

"I would love to do it, but the heartbreak for me is that I know how it ends and I don't know if I want to see that ending. But I would love to do it."

Hawksblueyes: I sure wish they could get this together. The Hellboy movies IMO, are two of the more enjoyable CBM's I've watched.

They were two of the best cbms to date. Very enjoyable, with teh perfect blend of comedy, drama and action

THEHAWK: I have to agree with you there. It's funny, when people make up their favorite CBM list these two get overlooked, yet there are not many who would say they didn't enjoy the Hell out of them. ;D

I have liked the feel of the Hellboy Films I think Del Torro does a good job of bringing the Hellboy World to life on the big screen. I only wished that Del Torro would do a rated R Hellboy.

I will gladly pay to see the 3rd installment of the franchinse.

Just make Hellboy full CGI for the third one and let poor old Ron Pearlman do voice over and motion capture. I'd accept it.

GUESSING THE ENDING; HE HAS TO STOP HIS KIDS FROM BRINGING ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD AND IN THE PROCESS HE KILLS HIMSELF AND HIS KIDS..SAD ENDING.

I thought that the second one ended quite well. I don't see a need for a third movie, though I wouldn't mind seeing it. If they do it: Lizz needs a miscarriage. I don't want to see a half human/half demon kid walking around.

Wow, didnt know so many people loved the Hellboy movies. They are awesome (apart from the cheesy ending of Hellboy 2 with them quitting the BPRD and Liz pregnant with some kind of freaky babies, I hope that doesnt become a Superman Returns situation with the kids in the third one) Ron Perlman is the definitive Hellboy, no one else can play him

And as for Hellboy 3, its too late to to release it this year and I wouldnt release it next year along with big hitters such as Green Lantern, Cap and Thor, same for 2012 against the even bigger hitters of Superman, Batman and the Avengers. So hows about let Guillermo and Ron go off and do their own thing for a year and then in late 2011/early 2012 (whenever Ron gets a break from filming Sons of Anarchy), they get together one last time to make Hellboy 3 and then release it in 2013, which is also coincedentally, the 20th anniversary of Hellboy. And make another animated movie to keep us going until 2013, the first two are great!

And then get del Toro on Dr Strange and the fifty other movies he has been rumoured to direct for the last 10 years

from the looks of things im more and doubting that del toro will direct dr strange and a for two important resons
1del toro has agreed with the b*sterd cameron the t direct on midnight mountain or whaterver lovecraft sh*t.
2 you guys since the film was onnced acted like del toro was the only guy who could bring strange to life well he clearly wasnt after it was inevitble that he would pick another project instead after all he was tied to 50 projects50!!!.also marvel/dosney never nessisarly needed strange because the film is close to being grennlite with to writers from conan writing the script and and actor close t obeing cast (who ever the acter turns out to be idont want to see any b*thing from lee or anyonelse who wanted a certain acter to be cast just like you did with cap and hulk)so there probably looking for a drecter right know and whoever it ive got a hunch it will be an upcoming overseesdirector who is wel known at film festivels after hering a report about thie recently.regardless the film is going to be epic!!! im sure the marvel/disney will trust enouth to do it.
HotHead
HotHead - 8/17/2010, 12:34 PM
ive ALSO GOT A HUNCH THAT DR STRANGE WILL BE MARVEL'S MAJORLY INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPD FILM AS NOT ONLY BUT A OVERSEES DIRECTOR BUT ALSO THE FILNMING OF MOST OF THE NON NEWYORK AND NON CGI OTHERDIMESIONAL SCENESMAY WILL OF COURSE TAKE PLACE IN TIBET WHERE STRANGE LERNED MAGIC FROM THE ANCEINT ONE. AND I DOUBHT TO TO POLITICS THE FILMING WILL TAKE IN THAT REGION HOWEVER IT COULD BE FILMED BEYEND THE UK WHERE THERE FILMING CAP IN ETHIER SOME WHERE IN INDIA OR JAPAN OR ANY OTHER FRIENDLY SAFE ASIAN COUNTRY WITH LOTS OF MOUNTANES TRERAIN.Talk about A BIG CHANGE FROM THE MONACO SCENE IN 1M2.

The first one was great!:D The second just ok! They should have cut the scenes where Hellboy is a kid and the end where Liz says that she is waiting twins! Seriously WTF!!... I dont wanna see two annoying Hellboy kids in the third one if they make it!! I mean Hellboy doesnt have kids in the comics so why to screw it up and put them in the movie! That ruins everything!

I really enjoyed both of the Hellboy movies, and would certainly love to see another one if they can deliver another solid story. I would rank both of them in my top 20 CBM's.

You know what's great about Hellboy they changed the characters so much and yet the movies just work so well.

I'd kill for a faithful Snyder type adaption though

@AlexDeLarge666 I feel the same about the kids though a bit too Shrek for my liking.

AlexDeLarge87 - 8/17/2010, 1:38 PM
breakUbatman@ You got that right!... bit too much like Shrek! Faithful adaption all the way!

Logan-X@ The second was beautiful and all that sh*t and overall it was pretty decent movie, but it taked Hellboy´s and Liz´s relationship too far!

Hellboy 1 was good, but Hellboy 2 was absolutely stunning. Del Toro wrote his own story for the second one and he did it so well. The action scenes in it were phenomenal.
