GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE - Paul Rudd's Character Meets The Mini-Pufts In Crazy First Clip

After a series of delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently set to be released on November 11th, 2021. This movie is set in the same world as the original Ghostbusters films, and unlike the divisive 2016 reboot, that means fans are actually pretty excited about what's to come.

The spotlight is expected to be put on a younger cast headed up by Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel), but there are some big names to be found here, too, including Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts will all be reprising their respective roles from the original movies.

Now, we have a clip that officially reveals the Mini-Pufts, a fun new take on the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. While he towered over New York City, these cute little fellas look like they'll be causing a different sort of mayhem. Paul Rudd's character certainly seems to be a little perplexed by them, anyway!

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film was written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.

I'm a little tentative about this one. The first one is a masterpiece of nostalgia while the second is gutter trash.

Paul Rudd feels like he'd be right at home in this universe though and the Stay Puft Gremlins were a pretty nice touch.

@inkniron - Bill Murray is on record saying even the original part 2 was not what they signed on for as it was pushed out the door by the studio when the team wasn't ready to make another one... but this latest one is right where it needs to be and back on track.
