Mclovin' will be Evil Ed in the remake of horror classic Fright Night, which will set place in Las Vegas as Collin ferrel helms the role of a vampire out for blood.
BD:
Christopher Mintz-Plasse, best known as "McLovin" from Superbad and "Red Mist" from Kick-Ass, is becoming another fan-fav. The geeky co-star who's been lighting it up in Hollywood has landed the role of the infamous "Evil Ed" in DreamWorks' 3-D redo of Fright Night. Mintz-Plasse plays the best friend of Anton Yelchin as Charlie, a teen convinced that his new neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. Evil Ed feels slighted that Charlie has left his nerdy past behind and thus joins the vampire's coven. David Tennant, best known for starring in the BBC series "Doctor Who," has also landed a role of Peter Vincent, a character who in the original 1985 movie was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he's a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when the teen turns to him for assistance, he's less than helpful. Toni Collette was previously cast as Charlie's disbelieving mom, who falls under the vampire's spell.
Blank: Personally I think the casting is incredible and shows thats this is a remake that is being made with care and precision.. and yes.. this is CBM new.. there was a comic make after the original movie.
