This crazy sitcom ran from 1964-66. "The Munsters" was a family of 'punnily' named monsters consisting of the father Herman--a Frankensteinish monster, Lily--a vampiress,vampiric son Eddie, and Grandpa--an actual vampire and mad scientist.
Involved in the show is "Dead Like Me" and "Pushing Daisies" Creator Bryan Fuller. Apparently also intrigued by the project is the ever popular horror/fantasy director Guillermo Del Toro.

The show is being described as “Modern Family meets True Blood," which sounds awesomely hilarious.

I thought the same thing like 7 years ago when this was in talks. saw how that turned out didn't we lol
he is the dream Herman though.

Eddie was a werewolf, not a vampire. You also forgot the niece that was normal. I'm really not sure how I feel about this. I'm a huge fan of the original, and some things just don't need modernized or messed with.
