Variety is reporting that Rufus Sewell (
Dark City) will be playing the role of lead vampire villain:
Adam, in 20th Century Fox's adaption of
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The plot revolves around the president's quest to rid the world of vampires, presented as the real conflict behind the Civil War.
Being co-produced by Bekmambetov with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley,
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter stars Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alan Tudyk, and Jimmi Simpson. The film will be shot in 3D starting in March, and is scheduled for a June 22, 2012 release.
