Andrea Leanza is a makeup artist, applying makeup and prosthetics for theatrical, television, and film. Recently, Andrea worked on Brad Pitt's zombie pandemic, World War Z. Below, you will see an actor having prosthetics and makeup applied so that he appears to be a zombie during a harsh winter environment. What is most interesting is that this our first look at one of the Russian zombies from the original Moscow ending, that was shot but later scrapped. To read about that ending clicking here.

Did you know that the whole Philadelphia traffic jam sequence from World War Z was actually filmed in Glasgow? This, and other key sequences in the film, used environments created by Cinesite. Cinesite’s environment team decided that to give the “realest” look they would base the CG as much as possible on photographed reality. Cinesite VFX supervisor Matt Johnson and VFX photographer Aviv Yaron took extensive reference photographs of buildings in and around Philadelphia which were digitally projected onto geometry. The buildings were then placed in layouts in Nuke and fitted into the original Glasgow plates.

An exciting sequence on top of a New Jersey housing project where Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) is being chased by zombies was filmed entirely against greenscreen; the rooftop and helicopter were the only real builds. - Cinesite

WORLD WAR Z was directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay was written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard and Damon Lindelof, based on the book written by Max Brooks. The cast includes: Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, and Matthew Fox.

Easily the biggest disappointment of 2013. Atrocious story and editing and a FCCKIN' PG Zombie movie? Studios, I heard that porn sells so why not make a PG movie outta that?

SuperGuy, don't let me come there and tug on your cape ;-) as if you think this is better than either 28's you are silly.

Other than the finale at the hospital, it was a pretty watered-down, underwhelming experience. Hope the Director's Cut will change that because this film could've benefitted from gore and blood. Max Brooks should've stepped in and been like, "WTF did you do to my baby?"

There isn't a scene in this movie that lasts more than 10 seconds. They should've put both endings in just for the running time.

I say this is the beat zombie movie for pussies who can't watch horror zombie movies because of all the gore that scares them. Finally, people who don't like horror zombie films have a zombie film they can see which is why they call it the best.

I feel your pain Max Brooks. I feel your pain....
