COMICS: Check Out Artwork From The First Few Pages Of SUPERIOR IRON MAN

We've seen the cover already, but now some unlettered preview pages for Superior Iron Man #1 have made their way online, and they reveal that Tony Stark will be joined by She-Hulk in this issue -- but will they be battling a common enemy...or each other?

From what we've heard already, Tony Stark will be approaching villain territory when he relocates to the City by the Bay with a new suit of armor as the Superior Iron Man. Below is a couple of pages from the first issue, which reveal that he'll have some company in the form of She-Hulk. Will the first signs of him becoming a bit of a bastard manifest here? They look to be on amicable terms for now, but for how long..

Superior Iron Man #1 sends Tony Stark to San Francisco with a new outfit and a new perspective on life. “The Genius Bar costume is there for a reason,” Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso tells EW. “The newly-transformed Superior Iron Man has very ambitious plans for the city that some of its residents embrace, but not all. Like the Superior Spider-Man, Superior Iron Man is a character that’s hard to root for.”

Superior Iron Man debuts this November, and will be written by Tom Taylor with art by Yildray Cinar.

It always depresses me a little when I realize how short my pull list has gotten. Then I come here, read some of the comics articles, and feel a good bit better about it.

Speaking of which, who the [frick] came up with comic shop lingo? I almost put together a sentence about the pull list for my box, and the innuendo caught me a little off guard.

@JordanKing Agreed, but Marvel still has some pretty good tiles out. I highly recommend Uncanny Avengers.

I read very few comics now, and I won't be reading this.

Marvel: Black Widow (decent standalone-ish spy series) and Amazing Spider-Man (very up and down, but its Spidey so ill read it)
DC: Superman Unchained (great), Superman/WW (also great), then occasionally read arcs of Batman, Aquaman, JL, & WW
Other: Terminator The Final Battle (solid sequel to Salvation), Angel & Faith (good follow up to the series) and X Files (very good continuation of the story)

@JordanKing Yeah, well. I would recommend more but I only read about 5 titles, and two of those are being canceled soon. I just really can't connect to comics, Marvel and DC, anymore. They try too hard at reaching out to a newer generation of readers and forget the old ones.

I'm reading-

Uncanny Avengers
Superior Foes (Very, very funny)
Hawkeye (Getting canceled soon)
Thor: god of Thunder (getting canceled soon)
And Black Widow (An awesome read)

Any other recommendations? I'm trying to catch up with New Avengers and Daredevil.

Damn. That artwork. Now that is legit black spotting and superb storytelling techniques. Never been interested in She-Hulk, but this art is worth while a definite read.

@JordanKing She doesn't get the Odinson...she already has the Wodendottir. Thor is still around, I don't get all the indignation for a natural evolution of Jason Aaron's run. The book gets a new #1, so? Jason Aaron's still writing it, you want to tell me he didn't deserve your faith for what he wrote til now? This Thor's run is already history and Aaron's plans for it are greatly long-lasting.

@Phronesis Could they just be ending the series and starting up a new volume? Seems odd that after the long wait they'd just be ending it, unless that's why they're ending it.

Eh going to hold out that they'll put out another volume and just renumber it. Love the book would be to sad to give up hope :(

Since some people are doing a list of which marvel titles they read here's mine: Daredevil, guardians of the galaxy, amazing spider-man, legendary star-lord. I might check out Dr. Strange and ant-man when they come out.

@Tanngnjostr I'm a Thor fan as you can see by my username and I've been through the Eric Masterson phase and even when they turned him to a frog. This seems different for some reason. Thor is supposed to be Marvel's heaviest hitter and HE continues to get dissed.

They pulled me in with Marvel Now only to dissapoint 2 issues later. I'm interester in this Avengers Now thing. Superior Iron Man sounds like fun. Marvel pulling me in again, let's see if this time I stay in.

Well, at least it appears that I'm not missing anything since I stopped reading new comics. I guess I'll stick with my boxes and boxes of back issue classics for now.

I'm all for shaking up the Avengers line-up once in a while, but this sounds very gimmick-driven. Has me nervous. I'd like to see something like "Cap's Kooky Quartet" last for a few years, not a random collection of gender- and race-swapped heroes that lasts for one arc.
