Good for you Dad! Pictured below, Robert Downey Jr. and his clone--er son. Wow, he could be a double!

Hollywood star ROBERT DOWNEY JR. was determined to land the lead role in new action move IRON MAN - because he wanted to impress his son.

The actor was spurred on to win the part of the Iron Man after seeing his peers Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves starring in action-packed films.

He tells Parade magazine, "I went after Iron Man because Keanu Reeves got The Matrix and Johnny Depp got Pirates (Of The Caribbean).

"I'm looking at all these posters of the movies I've seen with my son, and I'm thinking, 'Damn! I could do that!'."
