It has been a ongoing debate on whether or not the Extremis Armor will featured in any of the Iron Man films, specifically Iron Man 2. Personally, I have a strong belief that it will be featured in the film or be referenced in some form. I came to this conclusion because of the different pics that have been shown featuring an armor very similar to the extremis armor.

tight yeah I believe it.

It did seem a little weird that they made a big huge deal about the display showing the mark I-IV armors. It's like there's no real big deal about it. There's all the armor from the first one plus one more that looks almost exactly like the mark III.

Yeah there's definitely a lot more gadgets that they're not showing us. Why else make a big deal out of nothing unless it was supposed to be a small taste of what's to come?

i like the idea of extremis being in the movie.
it could be the only way stark can take out whiplash or tame war machine.
but i also realize that the mark iii armor in the first movie was paying homage to extremis by design.
i dont know if stark would honestly need extremis in IM2.
i know that i want it there and that fans want it there but i also know that we want it done right.
perhaps it's only for the game?
and if it is in the movie, i think a mere mention of the extremis virus towards the end of the film would be good enough for me and create enough of a cliffhanger for IM3 which unfortunatley could be delayed.
i want IM2 to be as good as if not better than iron man.
i just hope they're not gonna pull a spidey 3 early. i'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one!!

I wanna see the silver an red armor an steath!

I think it's just a design thing. I don't know if they'll throw that in just yet. We'll see. I'm skeptical.

i don't like extremis helmet, but still cool suit although i don't think it will be in the film. too early.

I LIKE THAT THEY KEPT THE HELMET THE SAME..THE REAL EXTREMIS HEMET LOOKS, WELL IT JUST DOESNT LOOK AS COOL, THE MOVIE HELMET TO ME LOOKS WAY MOR AGRESSIVE.

I agree it's too soon, especially for the powers. If Extremis is done wrong, it almost has the potential to turn it cartoon GI Joe movie like. I'm sure they'll stay away from that.

But I would not doubt if the model of the armor has been done, and will at least be teased. I don't like the helmet either. Mark III helmet is beautiful and perfect to me.

More than likely just a minor styling issue like Texasboy said.

Can't see it being the extremis armour in that he's linked to it, probably just in design since Adi Granov is working on the film.

I just read the wiki, and I don't think that they will be using the Extremis storyline with the virus/serum/whatever. At the end of Hulk Stark says that he prefers making people stronger on the outside, not the inside(or something like that).

I guess it could be considered a red herring, or setting up that it is something Stark would not do unless their was no other option, but I don't think so.

It IS. If you watch the montage from the comic con footage, you can see one point where he's shirtless with strange markings all over his body. This has got to be when he hardwires the suit to his nervous system.

"I am Ironman" becomes a literal thing.

In addition to some markers in the comic con footage mentioned above, there is also a pretty obvious hint in the footage of the Entertainment Tonight set visit. In one scene, Whiplash is attacking Stark's limousine and Pepper tosses an unusual "hot rod red" brief case out her window. This indicates to me that this is a set of compact Iron Man armor that is suitcase sized. This idea was mentioned by Downey in several interviews during preproduction - that he wanted the armor to fit in a suitcase. There is no way you can fit a set of Mark III armor in a suitcase so I am wondering if this might be Extremis.
