Third Iron Man Clue Hits the Web!

What do you make of this?

Apparently this viral marketing campaign is being called ARG. ARG stand for alternate reality game. I have never heard of the concept but it sounds intriguing. So without further adue, I present the third clue to the Iron Man sequel.

"Secret," "Stark," and now "Confession." What does it all mean? Hopefully one of you fine contributors can figure it out because I am drawing a blank.
Although, it could be that Whiplash wants Stark to confess something. Wasn't Whiplash angry at Tony's dad for something? I believe I read that in a description of Vanko's voice over from the Comic Con footage. I could be wrong.

I'm not sure if these mean anything - it seems like a clever marketing ploy to me to get us more excited for the movie (and its working, lol!!)

They are clues... I say it's a puzzle... and the newspaper pieces have to be put together to make a giant picture or something!

On the other hand if it is trying to give clues on different avengers or other superhero movies... as thought in the last clue with the "walking on air" then mayb the clue here is that this newspaper is from london... Captain Britain! but I'm probably overlooking all of this...

I suck at figuring out viral marketing clues. I have no idea what these clues mean.

Check out my Avengers fan cast :)

I think, overtly, it's telling us about Whiplash's vendetta with Stark. Mentioning his father, highlighting Stark, Secret, and Confession. It sounds like Whiplash has a beef with the Stark family, possibly Daddy Stark vs Daddy Whiplash type deal.

They keep mentioning WW2; I think it's gonna have to deal with the Soviets cooking up something while the Americans worked on the Manhatten Project aka the Atomic Bomb, which Stark Sr. was a part of. And Whiplash's family was disgraced/imprisoned due to the fact that they failed to surpass the Americans, or Stark in particular. Or something a long those lines.

And as Lansdowne5 has pointed out before, the first spelling of U-N-I-T-E-D with the missing letters is hinting at a secret of some kind. Possibly Avengers in origin, possibly Iron Man 2 related. We'll just have to see how it goes.

i think it means this movie is overhyped and overblown.

I can't say I agree with you sagekilz, how is this anymore over hyped than The Dark Knight? If anything the promos for Iron Man II are pretty low key, the first movie (best comic adaptation in my opinion) was fantastic leading to the fact that it has amazing talent throughout the entire film, so far not one thing in this movie scares me, I have no doubt this movie will blow people away, and might end up taking first place in the best comic book movie made.

I still think these viral pictures don't mean a damn thing, just to get fans to clamor about the movie more.

Did anyoe read that Iron Man Vs Whiplash comic? That was a dissapointment but I bet that's how Whiplash gets his suit in the movie (Tony abandon's his front torso armor while flying over).

I'm just annoyed because this franchise is, IMO!, just ok...nothing special. The whole whiplash/Crimson Dynamo thing bugs the hell out of me!

Someone mentioned a secret WW2 weapon that Daddy Stark was working on. There was a storyline and weapon just of this sort. Stark created and completed a doomsday weapon just in case we lost the war, its name was Arsonal and it was part of Project Tomarrow located under Avengers mansion. It was a badass robot that battled the Avengers in Iron Man then Avengers comics. I doubt seriously that they are referring to this.

This is what it looked like.

haha yeah that's what i was thinking, what if the whole thing is really that simple, it means "Stark's Secret confession", and it's purposely ment to drive everybody who's looking for a deeper meaning crazy lol

Update on TheMYTH from his friend Chris AKA Humbled:

“Apparently they have found a slow working balance between the 2 and now all 3 major tumors are about 20% smaller than they were when he came in…. On top of that, he was able to have a few hours of real consciousness yesterday morning. He spent it with his new son who he'd not met until then. I sat in the corner of the room the whole time just watching the most resilient person to ever face their own mortality. Even though any who could see him could tell he was in considerable pain, his humor and wit were still intact. Doctors say if no more complications come along, he might be able to be home about Christmas time and continue his treatment through outpatient. Apparently this type of cancer is typically treated this way…. When this first started a little over a month ago he had less than 2% survival chance, now it's a 1-in-4. I'm sure Myth would have something to say about the power of the collective consciousness of humanity after reading this article and being able to see just how many people are rooting for him.”

He includes a poem from theMyth’s own writings.

He also mentions The Myth’s stories and fan fics and Myth’s family:

” I told Amanda (MYTH’s wife) about this article and she viewed it. She said she was at a loss for words and couldn't see to type a comment. She said that this was something phenomenal and it would leave even 'Myth' at a loss for words. I'm sure she'll be back soon to give thanks. “

Keep posting guys for MYTH and his family, they need all the strength and encouragement and well wishes and love they can get now. The MYTH is still alive and fighting, so cheer the man on!

nerosday: Too much of the time a persons words are just that, words. It's a relief to find once in a while that our heartfelt words and feelings can actually bring any kind of consolation or faith to someone.

Im more than happy we could do this for Amanda, and I hope The MYTH continues to rally against the odds. We miss him here. And we are pulling for him constantly.

Please continue to keep us updated.
