IRON MAN 3 Remains In The Top 3 In Blu Ray Sales During It's Second Week

Despite competition from a re-release of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid,' and 'The Croods' Marvel's Iron Man 3 held strong to hold on to the 3rd spot proving again that the movie has staying power. Hit the jump to check out more!

After dominating the charts in it's first week, Iron Man 3 continued to be a certified blockbuster in it's second week of home release. Per Bluray.com - "Disney and Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 rounded out the top three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package media lists."

Iron Man 3 was not only the fourth fastest film to reach the 'Billion Dollar Boys Club' but also holds the record for second highest second weekend gross (the highest of course being, The Avengers). It appears that it's success has followed it to the home video market. "In addition to maintaining its position in the top three spots on the home media markets, Iron Man 3 sold 28% as many Blu-rays as The Little Mermaid (its Blu-ray market share was 53%) and 35% as many total units as The Croods"

i enjoyed iron man 3 a good movie,just letdown a little with too much comedy & the mandarin twist.
