Warner Bros has signed Downey to play Sherlock Holmes in a coming movie based not only on the famous books by A. Conan Doyle, but on the comic book series.
One wonders how this will work with the slated release date for Iron Man 2 in April of 2010.
In any case, good for Robert! He cleaned up and worked hard for this comeback, and he deserves all these fun roles and big movie projects.
