Can't believe the amount of people who enjoyed the twist. Was looking forward to seeing a bad ass terrorist take on the mandarin but the twist ruined the movie imo.

The twist felt a lot like the twist in Ultimate Iron man: Demon in the Armour imo. I still liked it.

am i the only person who thought this film was complete and utter let down!!!! dont get me wrong was funny in parts but the mandarin twist ws shocking for a plot, in the trailers made him look bad ass and that was far from it! film was poo!! to best parts for me was 1 seeing the superman trailer at the start and 2 pepper half naked kicking ass. and the end credit clip was just as bad as the film. i know i will get hated for this but hey i say what i thought.

I can't tell if it's the best out of the trilogy - well, tied with Iron Man and not Iron Man 2, of course - since I think it's taken from a very different perspective than the other movies in the trilogy, and even so when compared to the other Marvel Cinematic Universe entries. And for what it is, it's a brilliant movie, but I remember that Iron Man was also terrific for the different focus it puts its emphasis on. So...yeah, the two are tied for me, and since I still enjoyed the hell out of Iron Man 2, I'd say that this trilogy is very satisfying. Robert Downey, Jr. is perhaps at his finest in this movie, though!

just saw it only problem i had was there was no ACDC in the film i also dont understand the point of includeing firepower in the film just to blow him up a few seconds later. but verall great film.

decent above average movie, hardly memorable, not the best in trilogy, that's still held by thefirst film, but better and funnier than Iron Man 2. The humor is the best element of this film/

@julianwilliams1988 I found it underwhelming and dissapointing. Too many undeveloped plot devices for my liking. The film felt rushed after a certain moment in the film and got a bit ridiculous towards the end. Not a bad or terrible movie it's just a slightly above average which is entertaining imo

I didn't like it. What a joke. Was it better than IM 2 yes better than The Avengers lmao
MrReese
MrReese - 4/27/2013, 10:08 AM
only Marvel die hards will say it was the best. The twist was [frick]ing retarded I was cringing in all of his scenes.IM still holds the title 4 best of the trilogy. Can't wait 4 May 4th so we can openly discuss it. XD

@jullianwilliams u r not alone dude :)
Jolt17
Jolt17 - 4/27/2013, 10:32 AM
I'm not even a Marvel hardcore, yet I'd say it's tied with Iron Man for the best in the trilogy, and it's all through some different perspectives. And I personally won't compare it to The Avengers or to the other Marvel Studios outings, as it picks up a very different perspective when compared to those, and it in the root is the makers' creative decision.

I won't say the twist is perfectly executed, either, but theoretically speaking, living in an era where movies have pretty high standard on their own, I think it should and can come up as tolerable. Not everything should be all that faithful to the material source anymore given those standards, and I can see that these makers are actually challenging their own creativity to bring the comic book characters to the big screen in a way that will allow these interpretations of theirs to be taken seriously. Well, it does come to each person's taste whether the execution is proper or not, but all in all, such twists come down to the matter of delivering what the makers want to tell.
MrReese
MrReese - 4/27/2013, 10:34 AM
@tea It was enjoyable don't get me wrong I guess in a sense I do feel "ass raped" when it came 2 the twist.I mean it pissed me off.But that's just me.I don't like how they portrayed him, like at all.I was reading this review for the screening & the guy said Shane looked nervous when presenting the film.Hmmm I wonder why? XD

The coming weeks should be fun though.I,like u,like debating films sometimes u catch shit that others didn't see n vice versa. So I'm very much looking 4ward 2 it. :)
Jolt17
Jolt17 - 4/27/2013, 10:40 AM
And discussing it openly does sound fun! It's really hard for me to talk much about it without spoiling some of the stuffs here and there, so...yeah.

dadisatish - 4/27/2013, 10:44 AM
i am disappointed too..... entertaining yeah....but not great.....humor is both positive and negative aspects of the film....there is too much of comedy....i felt like i was watching a comedy film....action was not awesome too.....and i really didnt like what they done with Ben kingsley....over all iron man3 is above average.... iron-man was the best of all the three.....
MrReese
MrReese - 4/27/2013, 10:45 AM
why ppl compared it to or said it was better than The Avengers is beyond me.The Avengers shits on IM3 imo.I'm ok with them making changes 2 the character as long as the character is there in essence.Sadly this isn't the case.I was ok with him not being able to use the rings n him being a terrorist but they completely [frick]ed him over(again imo). Oh well, we'll all b able 2 discuss it come May 4th.
MrReese
MrReese - 4/27/2013, 10:46 AM

@tea....i never saw you defending a movie....you are a marvel fan so you may like it but most wont....but you know that ironman3 is a let down ....this movie will appeal only to hardcore marvel fans...for rest its just an ok film...

star trek will break its collections...
MrReese
MrReese - 4/27/2013, 10:57 AM
I'm sure the film will sit well for the GA.But 4 fans I don't think so.
dadisatish
dadisatish - 4/27/2013, 11:06 AM
@MrReese...in a week everybody will know......my brother is an ironman fan and he didn't like it too.....

the thing is marvel fallows the same formula to every movie.....so i felt routine.....so about the twist....its not much of a twist....everyone will find it in the middle of the movie.....and i didn't understand about the point of wearing all those ten rings....
