Now, thanks to this 30 second gif from M&M Tool Parts, we get to see how the Iron Man armour has evolved since it debuted in 2008's Iron Man. Also LOVE the briefcase suit, to me one of the coolest moments in the whole MCU.

Anyone who gives these suits best CBM costume needs to realize they are incredibly easy to pull off because they are CGI, by that logic Arkham City has the best CBM costume.

I wish he would've wore that golden suit in the first Avengers film. Would've been a not to the comic.

One of my favourites is the 70s armour from the comics...

Strongly agreed.

One of the best Iron Man scenes is when he is flying away from the F-22s. Farvou really captured the sense of flight that no other director has duplicated.

It went from good to shit. Just like the movies

@dcnoob122

You know, I thought the same thing. I think they really cut back on some of the outstanding cgi the first Avengers flick had.

It could've been because of the different cinematography they used.

This one?

It's the only goat looking costume the MCU has

I'm very interested in seeing how Iron Man's cgi armor will be translated in Civil War. They had some spectacular visuals/cinematography in The Winter Soldier.

They should have stuck with the final armour from Iron Man.

To be fair, Weta didn't work on AoU. The Iron Man suit in Avengers and IM3 was done by Weta.

@OmegaDaGr0dd i am saying the Iron Man CGI suits do not deserve to ever be in the conversation of best suit ever when the Spiderman Deadpool and Snyder's Batman suits exist. And yes difficulty to create definitely matters which is why Snyder's Bat-suit is such an accomplishment (that movable neck).

My point with Arkham City was that it is entirely CGI (like the Iron Man suits) and a perfect Bat-suit but it is not an accomplishment because it is significantly easier to create a good looking comic accurate suit when it is done on a computer

Mark 3 was still the best armor IMO.

@MarkV

Totally. There is something really basic and grounded about that first movie that none of the other movies have replicated (maybe it's just the "You will believe a man can fly" cherry getting popped in modern CG).

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about Ant-Man. It looks like they are going to have a lot of similar visceral fun with scale.

If armor isn't red/gold with circle arc reactor...it's NOT Iron Man.
YeezusWept

Superman's cape was CGI in shots and Deadpool's eyes will be animated. Does that mean those to should be taken out the conversation of most faithful as well?

Keep in mind, the Iron Man suit WAS constructed in the first film for some shots. So yeah...
Spock0Clock

As far as "best translation" goes. I think I have to tip my hat to the very first one. The Mk 1 really looks like it could have been made in a cave with a box of scraps, it's totally badass, and it's such a faithful take on the original comic.

Just absolutely stunningly well designed. That first movie's costumes had a level of loving craftsmanship that nobody has yet even slightly rivaled.

yeah, this is pretty old. Was posted on tuns of sites including this one back when the movie came out.
