Andrew Stanton's John Carter of Mars starring Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe, James Purefoy, Mark Strong, Bryan Cranston, Lynn Collins and many more, has wrapped filming. With an epic story line and awesome special effects potential, this could be the sleeper film of 2012 that surprises many people who have been overlooking it.

Here is what Purefoy recently had to say about the project...

What have you got next?

I just finished John Carter of Mars.

What can you tell us about that?

You know, the trouble is I can tell you barely nothing because um, because there is so much green screen in that. I mean I've seen artwork and it is just gonna be incredible. I mean really mind gobbly, just extraordinary, really amazing. So I can't really tell you much about it, I mean you know.

We know what the story is. There are two civilizations on the surface of Mars and John Carter gets teleported there from a cave. He ends up there and he sorts out and it's the first part of a trilogy of films. It's directed by Andrew Stanton who directed WALL-E and Finding Nemo. There really aren't that many geniuses working in Hollywood but I really think that he's one of them. you Know only if you look at his story telling skills alone, which is what this whole job is about, just telling stories. then you would mark him down as someone who is just gobsmackingly brilliant at bringing you along on a story and adventure.

It's gonna be, it's gonna be extraordinary

Hawksblueyes: I personaly can't wait to see images from this film.

TANK; He would make an awesome Baldor. Great call. ;}

Aki87: I agree. It's supposed to be in 3D. When people start getting glimpses of this film, along with the tagline :from the Creator of Tarzan and the Director of Toy Story and Finding Nemo, along with a list of all the big stars in it, it definately has the potential to be huge like Avatar.

How can it go wrong with a cast of enemies that include these?

This might turn out to be a great movie like Pirates of the Caribbean!:) HIGH HOPES!

Still skeptical about Taylor Kitsch. He is good actor, but to me... No John Carter.

I so can't wait for this. I've got my 15 year-old reading the books and he loves them, so I'm hoping it catches on with all audiences and conquers the box office. This is sort of a little dream come true...
