UPDATE: Jonah Hex Pic was Thomas Jane's Audition

We've been duped! The photo of Jonah Hex that recently surfaced was revealed to be Thomas Jane playing dress-up, NOT anything official from the movie makers...

This from Thomas Jane himself...

“Yeah, the pic is real all right – my pal Akiva Goldsman told me about the project and I fell in love with the idea right away. Being a huge fan of all things Hex – I just couldn’t help myself. I called up my buddy Chris Nelson and we spent a Saturday afternoon working up some make-up for this impromptu shoot and I fired a few pics off to Warners. How do people get a hold of this shit? It’s a little embarrassing seeing my fanboy enthusiasm spilled all over the web, but great scripts don’t come around too often, especially for characters I love.”

DC Comics fans were excited yesterday to wake up to the news of Jonah Hex being played by The Punisher's Tom Jane. Unfortunately, Mark Neveldine, co-writer and director of the film has denied that Jane has been cast for the titular role. Jane's agent has also stated that his client has not been added to the cast.

Film School Rejects, who first released the story had their doubts about the validity of the photo because their source was unofficial.

A script has been completed for the movie, so we should expect an official announcement from Warner Bros. outlining the cast in the coming months.

yeah...this is totally fake.

if you remember during Punisher, Jane himself said that he wasn't a comic book fan and isn't exactly a comic book movie fan either, he did punisher because it was real, and gritty.

He is in no way shape or form, a fanboy
