First Teaser Poster For DREDD Unveiled?

2000AD.Wordpress have come across the following teaser poster which was put up on Flickr with the claim that, "my friends dad worked on the new judge dredd movie and he gave me this which is a sort of advance poster to promote the movie which wont be out until next year." It's hard to tell whether or not this is the real deal, but use the "Like" and "Dislike" buttons below to confirm or debunk its authenticity!

DREDD takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.

I've also read the script for this, and i have to say it's pretty tight and fast paced. The best way to describe i'd say is imagine Die hard and Escape from New York with a dash of Blade Runner....So I've got hopes for this.

Dredd-fully exciting find, Josh! I agree with the bag of tea on this one, it can only be better than Stallone's version. All I remember that was good from that one was the design of the robot and the police truck. No cheesy comedians in this one please. Leave the comedy to us!

plasticman - 6/23/2011, 2:59 PM
Hey, weneedrevelation! Stop the double talk. Although your double talk doesn't sound quite like a movie exec telling everyone that Fantastic Four is in production just to keep the filming rights.

I'm going to say fake. Pinning it up with four tacks looks kinda strange. It could be real, but if you want to speculate, there's some questions if you look close at it.

Looks like an office cubicle. Could go either way.
Seejay

Hopefully a lot better than Carl Urbans "Priest". A film I just realized looks very similar in design to Dredd, the cities, deserts etc.
