Jason Momoa Thought Zack Snyder Wanted Him To Play Lobo When They First Talked About JUSTICE LEAGUE
Jason Momoa reveals his reaction to being asked to play Aquaman, his thoughts on the trailer for Justice League, and reflects on early concerns about potentially cutting and dying his hair for the role.
It's fair to say that most of us probably never imagined Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa playing Aquaman, but based on everything we've seen so far, he's a perfect fit for the role. Talking in the video below, the actor says that while he was initially worried that he would have to cut and dye his hair in order to portray the King of Atlantis' clean cut appearance, it turns out that he initially assumed that Justice League director Zack Snyder was approaching him to play a very different type of character.
"Dude, there was a lot of things that went through my head when he said Aquaman," Momoa says. "There were a lot of things that went through my mind. I was thinking like, 'Lobo.' I'm gonna play some kind of bad guy. I'm like, 'Who am I gonna play?' And year, he said Aquaman. I was just like, 'Come again? Pardon me?' And then he explained why. I was like, 'Whoa, buddy. I got your back'"
Momoa also talks about the "amazing" trailer for Justice League and has nothing but good things to say about Snyder, but things took a lighter turn when he was asked about whether or not underwater kissing scenes have proved to be a challenge when he's acting alongside Amber Heard (Mera) in the highly anticipated superhero ensemble. "Nah, they're easy bro," he laughs. Are you guys looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table as Aquaman? Let us know your thoughts below.
