Warner Brothers is trying to find the perfect director for their Justice League project. Their top choice for the job, Ben Affleck, appears to have no interest in the job whatsoever. Now, there a couple of new names that have popped up as possible candidates for the job. According to Moviehole Lana and Andy Wachowski, who directed The Matrix Trilogy, are WB's second choice for the film. The duo is said to have the executives at Warner completely sold on their upcoming film Cloud Atlas, and that they feel that the Wachowski's could take a film like Justice League and give it the character development it needs, but also deliver the type of big summer tent-pole spectacle in needs to be too. Lana and Andy do have some experience with CBM's as they were producers on V For Vendetta, as well as rumored to be one of the finalist for Man Of Steel before it went to Zack Snyder.

Nothing is set in stone right now so take what you hear with a pinch of salt. It is also not a guarantee that if the Wachowski's would even take the job if offered. The only thing that is certain is that Warner Brothers is trying to find who they feel is the right director, or directors, for the job. For the latest on the Justice League make sure you keep checking CBM daily.

Wow. Didn't see this coming.

Wouldn't complain if they get the gig. That is, if Cloud Atlas is as amazing as its supposed to be.

Get a director with the creative vision and scope for the flick.

Mixed feelings if they get the gig. They certainly get Sci-Fi and action. But the first Matrix is the only good movie they made. Good thing I LOVE that movie.

YES YES YES...

Sounds good to me...

The BEST part about this News is that it seems that WB are now serious about a JLA movie and it is actually going to happen...

Goodnight Avengers...

already focusing on a Justice ZLeague film? We have Man of steel, green Lantern and Hawkman and lobo in development... focus on solo films first! The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and Black Canary, Batman reboot etc. before a team up...

This is very interesting. Yeah, Cloud Atlas must be amazing to convince the public (although I personally am really liking the sound/looks of it); but, they can be interesting.

Interesting.

From the trailer to Cloud Atlas it looks like they could bring the dramatic and great visuals to a Justice League movie.

But I don't really know much about them.

Great. Hopefully this movie can finally get the green light. Still think they should do WW and Flash first though.

Wait, they're the ones that did the Matrix. Nevermind what I said about not knowing much about them.

So basically at this point WB is NOT interested in solo films for at least Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman? At least until AFTER JL....I guess WB said "[frick] solo movies, let's get straight to the big money maker".

Okay Cloud Atlas LOOKS like it could be one of the best movies in history becasue of its ambitiousnes and cast. The concept looks so good and the music just makes it even better. If cloud atlas delivers and is what its being made out to be then hell yea.

Bad idea. The Wachowski's can do action, but story? Not so much. Never forget that these are the people who gave us Matrix Revolutions.

@Marvel87 pretty much. But it can work that way too. People get to see all of these heroes and their abilities and will want to know more about them after Justice League, which could mean that their solo films could be more successful.

As long as costumes and origins are faithful I'm ok with whatever direction this movie takes.

Lol they were also responsible for Matrix. I love how when marvel hires directors who've made some really shitty movies and everyone says " oh they can always make better movies" but when DC does some what of the same thing they get slammed lol.

They are also responsible for The Matrix Dev7. Perhaps you should broaden your cinematic scope.

I'm definitely okay with them directing. Writing not so much.
