Those specials, which not only in retrospect but at the time were pretty horrid, nonetheless hold a bit of historic importance. Besides, it also saw Adam West and Burt Ward reprising their 1960s roles of Batman and Robin.

Now I finally get to discover the life-changing secrets that come with being first! Woohoo!

I had a buddy who was trying to find these two specials as something for his kids to watch (both of whom were really into superheroes, and were young enough to enjoy this). I'd managed to forget them, but watched them again when I found them for him. These were both VERY campy, even by the standards of the time, but were rather fun if you enjoy camp. I was like 11 or 12 when this was out, and this was rather silly even for me. It still brings back pleasant memories of a much simpler time in life.

I'd forgotten about these for many years until that friend asked me about them. I asked a couple of friends that are far more knowledgable than I am about DC (I'm a lot more of a Marvel fan), and not only got answers, one of them had both of these on VHS and pulled them out for me to watch. The kids were like 5 and 7, so they loved it. Funny the stuff that we love as kids that doesn't hold up as well when we find it again later in life, isn't it?

I loved these when I was a kid and I've had them on VHS for about ten years now and I still pull them out to watch every now and then. I'm still not entirely sure what's happening -LOL.
