RUMOR: The DC Films Universe May Introduce The Legion Of Doom Over The Course Of Several Movies

If a new report is to be believed, the Legion of Doom is coming to the DC Films Universe over the course of several movies. Hit the jump for everything we know so far about the arrival of the villains...

At the end of Justice League [SPOILER ALERT], Deathstroke meets with Lex Luthor and the latter talks about forming a League of their own. While most of us have assumed that's a reference to the Injustice League, a new report points to the Legion of Doom coming together in the DC Films Universe instead.

While Warner Bros. isn't planning a Legion of Doom movie, it's said that the studio is moving toward putting the team together, presumably to set the stage for them to assemble in Justice League 2

We'll reportedly see something in regards to that at next year's San Diego Comic-Con and Aquaman will feature another tag relating to the Legion (Black Manta has often been associated with the Injustice League, so that actually makes perfect sense). This is obviously a very different approach to world-building and while a Justice League sequel is far from confirmed at this stage, creating the Legion like this means the door is now wide open for the two teams to go to war somewhere down the line.

Are you excited to see the Legion come to the DC Films Universe or do you think this
rumor is bogus?

Would be cool. If true it's good that they are actually building towards something. The DCEU has always seemed like theyre lacking an end game or a plan of any sorts

@Bokis - That is one of the things that bothered me the most when i saw Justice League. The thousands of opportunities they lost in such stupid ways. While in Marvel they have spend almost 10 movies seting up the Mithology of the Infinity Stones and each of them, in DC they just used exposition to make us think this conflict of the Mother Boxes was happening or looming humanity for the last "5000 years".

Justice League for me feels just like if Avengers 3 and 4 happened in one movie and in that single movie they tried to present and explain all the stones, thanos and the conflict.

This universe is build in such a bad way...

@AleSir19 - You can introduce three of six members of a team, AND a world ending threat, as well as how to stop it in one movie without it feeling overcrowded or rushed. The pilot movie of Justice League did just that. But if not everything is there, it's not going to work. The sufficient background for Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman, as well as for the villain, were left on the cutting room floor to make room for more humor and action.

I don't believe the "DCFU" can follow through on any plan over the course of several movies.

For the record, that's not my pet name for them, it's the inevitable acronym for this new thing they're saying that isn't the DCEU.

...Yep, because DCFU is much better...
