[SPOILER] Will Be The Member Of The Green Lantern Corps We See In JUSTICE LEAGUE

We recently learned that a member of the Green Lantern Corps will appear in Justice League, but a new report claims to reveal which one of them we'll see (and it's a bigger name than you expected).

A somewhat reliable source revealed last week that a member of the Green Lantern Corps with a hard to pronounce name will show up in Justice League this November. Well, Geek Feed has now added to that, revealing that they were contacted six months ago by someone who had visited the set of the movie and seen a member of the heroic group in concept art on display there.

Who was it? Abin Sur, apparently? He's the Green Lantern who crashes to Earth and passes his ring on to Hal Jordan, and while it's possible we'll see him in some flashbacks here, I can't help but think back to an old rumour that Justice League concludes with a Green Lantern landing on Earth to warn the team about the impending arrival of Darkseid after Steppenwolf is defeated.

If that does happen, he could die after warning the team and his ring could then shoot off into the distance (with it finding Hal either before or during Green Lantern Corps). That's obviously just speculation for now, and as with any rumour, this should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being. Would you like to see Abin Sur appear in Justice League? Let us know in the usual place!

@LoveThat - I actually called it as B'Dg, similar character but Johns will get a bigger cut. If you look at how much Dixon and Graham Nolan, and Jim Starlin have made off of Warners using their film characters this makes sense.

That reminds me of the scene in sinestro corps war that can maybe put into perspective as to why green lanterns have such a huge fan base.

It's the final battle. In the sky the two largest lanterns go to war, one is a giant sentient floating city, the other is a [frick]in planet (ego get rekt). Meanwhile, inside of guy gardners body a fight waged between two microscopic lanterns. One is leezle pon, a sentient small-pox virus that was considered to be the bravest being in his entire space sector, and the other is despolitus, an alien virus that has wiped out entire systems. Despo killed pon's partner and now he is "out for vengeance". The scale of the battle is awesome, it feels like the fight against fear spans all shapes and sizes.

Maybe this also helps explain why people worship Geoff johns.

This is what my comment was originally going to say.

I'm disappointed it is Abin Sur because that means Hal doesn't exist yet.

Talk about epic fail.

@BlackIceJoe - Hal probably exists. He just doesn't have his power ring yet. I'm sorry. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I had hoped to see Hal with his ring, even if we only see him get it and then fade out.

@RolandD - That is true. I just would have preferred him already being a Green Lantern and you'd then find out the reason he wasn't helping Earthlings was because he was fighting crime in space.
