Zack Snyder's Justice League features plenty of fun Easter Eggs, cameos, and references for DC Comics fans (check them out by clicking here), but this one might just be among our favourites.
Before we get to that, it's obviously no secret that Snyder is a huge fan of Frank Miller's work, and The Dark Knight Returns heavily influenced what we saw in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Well, it turns out that the classic storyline's presence could also be felt in the Snyder Cut, as the Caped Crusader is shown apprehending a familiar group of villains at the end of the movie.
As you can see below, as Batman stands atop his "Bat-Tank" (which is another Miller creation), a group of crooks are tied up nearby. Better known as "The Mutants" in The Dark Knight Returns, this gang has now found their way into Snyder's version of the DC Extended Universe.
Their unique eyewear is instantly recognisable, but it's unclear whether Batman has crossed paths with their formidable leader yet. Perhaps that's a story for another day should the "SnyderVerse" continue?
