Brief New JUSTICE LEAGUE Synopsis Makes WONDER WOMAN's Importance Clear

A new synopsis for Justice League has found its way online and it makes it clear that Wonder Woman - who recently starred in her own wildly successful solo movie - is a key part in assembling the team.

The Avengers director Joss Whedon is at the helm of "extensive" Justice League reshoots but will those a larger role for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman? After the success of her solo movie earlier this year, there's a very good chance they probably do and a new synopsis for the movie - taken off some toy packaging - makes it clear that Diana Prince is going to be as vital to assembling the League as Batman.

It should, of course, be noted that this was taken off products featuring Wonder Woman so that could explain why she's given such a significant mention here but it still leaves us with plenty to think about.

Once again, Wonder Woman must demonstrate her ability as a fierce warrior. Facing a great enemy, she and Batman join forces to recruit a group of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. Having formed an unprecedented League of heroes, they set out to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Considering the fact one of the Mother Boxes comes from Themyscira, Wonder Woman having a key role in Justice League makes a lot of sense and we know that Zack Snyder is a huge fan of the character so she was no doubt one of the movie's leads from the very start. Trailers have also made it clear that Diana helps Bruce Wayne bring together the various heroes who will come together to battle Darkseid.

Why isn't Suicide Squad the focus?
One can only wonder.

I wish Michael Bay would stop smoking the cheap shit and start making movies like The Rock, Armageddon and Bad Boys again. Then he'd be on my list for The Suicide Squad sequel.

@Primordiac - not Michael Bay but a Suicide Squad in the style of Con Air would be pretty cool and they could make the joker the main villain like John Malkovich's character

It's cute how people are waving this off as if it's nothing new. Yeah, it's questionable how much the movie itself can/has changed to make it a Wonder Woman feature, but come on... that write-up is a pretty major shift in marketing focus from what we have seen. The trailers prior to WW's opening had just enough of her to say "and Wonder Woman is here too" with all focus on Bruce traveling around recruiting Aquaman and Flash and meeting with commissioner Gordon. Hell, Alfred likely had more lines than WW in any of them.

Now it's suddenly "Wonder Woman has to save the world again! Batman helps." Give the girl props for moving from supporting character to main draw in the marketing at least.
