JUSTICE LEAGUE: Ezra Miller Reveals Which Piece Of Classic FLASH Lore We Won't See

Ezra Miller has apologised in advance to fans for one major piece of Flash lore which is going to be missing from Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon's Justice League. Hit the jump to find out what that is...

In Justice League, the Flash is wearing a very different sort of costume. It's one he's clearly made himself and while many fans suspect that Batman will provide him with an upgrade by the time all is said and done, we now know that Barry Allen won't be getting his costume from the Speed Force.

In the comic books, Barry got his suit from within a ring and has frequently used the Speed Force to change the molecules of whatever he's wearing
into his Flash costume. That's not happening here!

"Well, you know, look, I can confirm, spoiler alert, his suit does not pop out of his ring [in the movie]. Things have to progress, you know? Original Barry Allen was clearly an incredibly, incredibly clever scientist. We acknowledge and respect that. We want to apologize to the fans who are mad about the ring thing." Not even The CW series has gone down this route, though Reverse-Flash had a ring!

"I know the ring is the coolest thing about the DC universe," he adds. "It was a little hard for us to sell in this version of this universe right now. Bear with us! There’s gonna be other cool things." What those will be remain to be seen but with Flashpoint also on the way and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teasing time-travel, this version of the Scarlet Speedster could indeed be the coolest to date.

No one really cares about the Flash ring.

The only ring that matters is Green Lantern's

@Beetleborg - Yeah. Isn't that like complaining about Superman not running into a telephone booth to change? I mean, it's iconic for sure but doesn't fit with how the story's being told and I can't think about how to handle that differently so it's new so all we're getting is fan service that the fans have seen a million times already.

@Beetleborg - I think the Flash's ring is cool, but I would trade 1000
Flash rings for a GL in the movie, ideally Abin Sur handing off to Hal Jordan.

@Origame - Besides, when is the last time you saw a phone booth? Even in the Christopher Reeve movies then played it off as a joke because we mostly had open public phones by then.

@Origame - Send Henry Cavill to Carrabelle, Florida. He can change there.

@Origame - I agree, and I actually think that this is cool. This doesn't show that Ezra is concerned about us liking his character. What it shows is that he cares enough about the character to delve into his lore. This makes me think that we'll have a great Flash.

That's fine. I rather care more about a particular green ring being in this movie.

People shouldn't worry about the movie having the ring, they should worry about the movie having a director.

And a script.
