Rumor Has It That Warner Bros. Has Decided To Scrap Solo Movies For DEADSHOT And LOBO

There are a lot of DC Comics movies in various stages of development at Warner Bros. but if a new report is to be believed, the Will Smith led Deadshot and long-delayed Lobo have both been scrapped.

There's a new man in charge of Warner Bros.' DC Films division and it seems some big changes may have already taken place. Take this with a pinch of salt but the Twitter accounts below (both of which are semi-reliable sources of news) claim that Deadshot and Lobo have been scrapped. The former was being used as a starring vehicle for Suicide Squad standout Will Smith but was never confirmed.

On the plus side, he'll no doubt return in Suicide Squad next year and there's still a chance this could happen if that's a big enough hit. However, it's not a "necessary" movie so this is no great loss.

This isn't the only DC Comics adaptation no longer in the works if these Tweets are to be believed as Lobo - a release which has been in development since before the DC Films Universe was even a thing - is said to be on the scrap pile. That's a shame but the studio may have other plans for the anti-hero!

Either way, an official slate is overdue so here's hoping the studio gets its act together by Comic-Con.
