It's hard to believe it's been ten years since the first
Iron Man movie came out. Now look where we are: We're approaching huge events like
Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel next year. For now, though, let's drive down memory lane and take a look on his best and most entertaining suit up scenes.
One thing's for sure, he's had plenty of them.
5. Iron Man 3: "Bits And Pieces"
This was definitely his longest, most time consuming suit up transformation.
Iron Man 3 gave Tony Stark a lot of problems, including keeping him away from his suit for the majority of the film. The whole theme of
Iron Man 3 was to show he's still a hero with or without the suit - but let's be real. It's way more fun when he's in his armor.
One by one, his little suit compartments fly to his location. Definitely one of his best ideas, because things would've been rough if he never came up with this innovation. Sure, they didn't arrive all at the same time, but better late than never.
4. The Avengers: "Skydiving In A Whole New Way"
The fact that Loki didn't see this coming shows how much he underestimated Tony Stark. Let's do a headcount. Stark himself isn't visibly scared or intimidated by a living God right in front of him. He's in his own building, which means he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve . And once you saw he put on that metal wristband, you knew something was up.
This was a great scene, showing how far Stark's technology has advanced since 2008's
Iron Man.
3. Captain America: Civil War: "Just Sit Back And Relax"
This scene is short but sweet... emphasis on the sweet.
Civil War was a perfect mixture of intense action and fun, and this scene perfectly represents that. We have a veteran
Iron Man who has seen it all , so it makes sense he would integrate his suit in his personal helicopter.
Add the fact that the music here is outright incredible, it without a doubt makes it into the top three.
2. Iron Man 2: "Briefcase Brilliance"
Now we're going back in time a bit, with
Iron Man 2 and this brilliant scene. Whiplash was one deadly villain, with no regard for human life. Seems like the perfect time for Iron Man to step in.
This is another instance where making his suits portable is extremely necessary. It may be the heaviest briefcase in the world, but it's the best one as well.
1. Iron Man: "It All Started Here"
This is what everything was building to. We saw him in his cave suit, made from a box of scraps. Then we saw his Iron Man suit without any spray paint. But this is where things get really good.
Let's also keep in mind that the CGI here still holds up today.
Overall, we have had plenty of great suit up scenes. Now with
Avengers: Infinity War coming up May 4th, we can only imagine what Marvel has in store for us then. Could it give us his best suit up scene in MCU history, perhaps?
