Throughout next year, Marvel Comics looks set to continue its popular line of "Infinity Saga" variant covers. Highlighting each and every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, they feature some of the industry's greatest artists paying tribute to Marvel Studios' incredible impact with stunning poster-style comic art.
The next batch of covers will allow fans to revisit the incredible highs of the films that closed out the groundbreaking Infinity Saga: Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Ant-Man and The Wasp. The first three Infinity Saga Phase 3 Variant Covers will hit stands in February with the rest set to be released in the following months.
Thanos and his Black Order reign victorious in superstar artist Leinil Francis Yu's cover spotlighting Avengers: Infinity War, while best-selling cover artist Mark Brooks depicts the unforgettable "Avengers Assemble" moment from Marvel Studios' epic record-breaking blockbuster, Avengers: Endgame.
Finally, artist Dike Ruan, known for his critically acclaimed work on Shang-Chi, presents the dynamite debut of The Wasp and Ghost in Ant-Man and The Wasp.
While we're used to seeing amazing concept art featuring the MCU's heroes and villains, it's amazing seeing some huge-name comic artists put their own spin on these iconic characters. Honestly, we're a little surprised that Marvel Studios doesn't enlist them to create bespoke posters for the movies they release in theaters and the TV shows that premiere on Disney+.
The Infinity Saga played out across three Phases, though Phase 4 has seen us thrown headfirst into The Multiverse Saga. It's been something of a mixed bag thus far, but we do have high hopes for Phase 5 based on what we know about it. That kicks off early next year with Secret Invasion and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
