Marvel DELETES Video "Confirming" Five MCU TV Shows In 2023 So, Yes, Expect Some Delays

Despite a video being released by Marvel UK that appeared to confirm five MCU TV shows will premiere on Disney+ in 2023, that's now been deleted, so we might want to brace ourselves for delays after all!

We hate having to bring you conflicting information, but that's just the way the news cycle goes sometimes! Yesterday, we told you that a Disney+ Japan listing had "confirmed" only three MCU TV shows - Secret Invasion, Loki season 2, and Ironheart - will be released in 2023.

Mere hours later, Marvel UK Tweeted out a video hyping up the studio's 2023 offerings, with Echo and Agatha: Coven of Chaos listed among them. As a result, it looked like we'd be getting five shows after all.

However, if you're familiar with that account (which is official), you'll know it's mostly made up of old news, promo videos, and memes we're assuming an intern throws together!

With that in mind, we're sure you won't be shocked to learn the promo promising five MCU TV shows on Disney+ in 2023 has now been deleted. Chances are it was based on old information, leaving us to assume that delays are not off the table next year; however, confirmation of that will only come our way from the U.S./worldwide Marvel Studios/Disney+ accounts.

The D23 website just published a blog post which mentions the release of Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Echo, so for the time being, we don't think anything has changed.

Echo is likely still pencilled in for a 2023 debut providing there's room and no further production issues. Agatha: Coven of Chaos, meanwhile, will keep its late 2023/early 2024 slot depending on what else takes up room on the streaming platform and when shooting finishes.

There's certainly enough evidence out there to make us think Echo and Agatha: Coven of Chaos won't be released in 2023, so it might be best to temper expectations and just look forward to the three shows we know are definitely coming.

As always, keep checking back here for the latest MCU updates as we have them!

Hey Josh, rather than posting 3 articles about the same thing in an 8 hour period, why don't you just wait a bit, show some patience, and check your facts first... You know, maybe follow up these half-baked suppositions by getting a statement from the studio?

@528491 - tbf when it comes to news nowadays you have to report anything as soon as you become aware of it, otherwise your website will be considered slow and useless and nobody will visit it anymore. I mean, everytime they report something here that's already 1-2 days old there are people complaining and making internet explorer jokes, and when they try to keep up there are people complaining about them not waiting for a source or writing more than one article for the same subject. There is no way to make everybody happy.

@roboticJohnson - it's called updating the old article, that's it. We don't need 4 articles on the same topic....

MosquitoFarmer - 12/31/2022, 9:17 AM
@528491 - Your point is certainly apt, but to be fair, the second article was from Ror, so Wilding is still just backing up what he had already said.

@bobevanz - what's the difference between updating an article and writing another one about the new info on the topic exactly? Personally I prefer the latter simply because once I've read an article I usually don't check it up again to see if it's been updated, and I'd lose a lot of news if they used that method, but is there an actually important difference between the 2?

@bobevanz - Thats true but how many of us are going to go back into the article from 2 days ago and check for an update?

I've posted my share of articles in the past and I don't believe there's a way to re-post the same article and move it up to current news again. Maybe there is? But I know that when you post an article it's kind of done at that point. You can only go in and edit it once and then it's locked.

I haven't posted one in a while, so maybe it's different now?

@528491 - This is an example of @JoshWilding, or anyone for that matter, not being able to do anything right in the eyes of people here. So why would he listen to anyone?

If he had waited 2 days to post news then suddenly people complain about it being old news.

People don't like his articles, yet they still click the article and even comment in it. Usually multiple times. And that's not even counting all the people that visit this site and don't comment. We're a minority. Most people don't comment like us. But the clicks and comments are all that matters. It shows interest in his articles.

He can do nothing right, apparently. There is always going to be someone that complains about him, no matter what decision he makes.

@CorndogBurglar - This. Really it’s just a bunch of silly, back seat driving, nit picking bullshit. What does it really matter?

JoshWilding - 12/31/2022, 11:37 AM
@CorndogBurglar - Thanks for the comment - not much I can really add as you sum it up perfectly!

However, for those STILL whining, I posted a Disney+ Japan update that listed three shows for 2023, backing up recent rumours. Another writer then shared an update just a couple of hours later from a source I personally wouldn’t rely on because the Marvel UK Twitter account is - and I say this as a Brit - beyond useless (and, had it been down to me, I’d have added that to my article as an update rather than posting a contradictory story, but whatever, I’m not overly bothered). Now, it’s been deleted, a noteworthy update.

Personally, I’d say it makes sense to share this update because SOMEONE clearly told them to get rid of it, but there are many commenters on here who live to complain as if I’ve broken into their house and forced them to click on this post and read it at knifepoint. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@JoshWilding - If I remember correctly, your initial article even had someone in the comments complain that your article wasn't accurate because Marvel UK had just put out that contradictory video.

And that was before the second article even got posted. They were talking trash to you for posting inaccurate rumors or something like that.

So yeah, no matter what you do, someone is going to complain.

And some people complain about James Gunn tweet articles.

Article 1: There's gonna be five MCU shows in 2023.

Article 2: Actually there's only gonna be three.

Article 3: Scratch that, we're back to five.

Article 4: Or maybe it's three again.

I'm guessing Article 5 will be back to five again?

Origame - 12/31/2022, 9:04 AM
@ObserverIO - article 5: marvel has to decide if these shows are coming out.

You know Josh is gonna put this on marvel instead of his own incompetence.

The thing is Daredevil is such a beast in terms of length they're going to have to move some 2024 stuff if two shows get bumped.
ptick
ptick - 12/31/2022, 6:20 AM
@Orphix - Has it ever been confirmed that Daredevil BA is one 18-episode season? I know the 18 episodes were announced and it's clear they are shooting them all at once, but what if Disney is chopping them up into either three six-episode seasons or two nine-episode seasons?
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 12/31/2022, 6:45 AM
@ptick - I think it'll be 18 episodes at 20 minutes each, so that's still shorter than a regular Netflix season of DD.

@Vigor - I think all the current MCU Roster will be in Secret Invasion will be in or make cameo appearance that's the whole plot of the comic book version. It will be a lot like Civil War was.

And we all know She-Hulk was REVIEWED BOMBED by mostly Sensitive White men because they were the Joke in, She-Hulk and the show didn't try to hide it. No one wants to be the JOKE! :) Ha Ha Ha

You’ve posted the RT score like 3 times today, dude. She-Hulk came and went. If you liked it, more power to you.

@DoubleD - Metascore is a real score on a product. RT is a mitigated approval score of the product, it means you'll like it or not. Meta score means what the QUALITY is, not enjoyment. Keep up lol
