First Stills From THE MUPPETS....AGAIN!

Yep, that's the official title for the upcoming sequel to 2011's pretty great Muppets reinvention. Check out Ricky Gervais, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy and the rest of the gang in the first images from the movie, as well as some new plot details after the jump..

As well as the above still, EW also have some new plot details. According to them, the sequel will find our heroes "enjoying a triumphant world tour, only to become tangled up with a criminal mastermind named Constantine, who is out to steal an enormous diamond—and who happens to be a dead ringer for Kermit". The site also confirms that Ricky Gervais will play a baddie (Constantine’s villainous sidekick), and Tina Fey a "Russian prison guard". Ty Burrell is also on board as an Interpol agent.

The Muppets...Again! is currently shooting in London with a March 21, 2014 release date. For an interview with Kermit himself, click the link back to EW below.

Aww cant wait for this, utterly loved the Muppets since I was a kid, and the relaunch movie was amazing, made me feel like a kid again! It did what a relaunch/reboot of an older concept should do, make it feel modern and relevant to today but keep what made the original characters and concept so popular

It put a smile on my face to see all generations at the cinema watching the movie, from the newest generation of kids to big kids (like me) to parents who probably watched it when they were younger, I love movies that have a subject matter that brings together all generations (much like some of our beloved cbms)

I will be looking forward to this sequel! It seems to be following on from the Muppets return to popularity at the end of the last movie (very fittingly happened in both the movie and in real life) but also the plot sounds distinctly like an homage to the Great Muppet Caper, which should be awesome.

I hope we get a 3rd Muppets movie in the vein of Treasure Island or Christmas Carol, where the Muppets are doing their own unique and entertaining take on an old story, it would be the perfect way to go

Ror is going by the Irish release date, we didnt get it until March 2012

Looking forward to this. I gotta admit the Muppets movie got me teary eyed from nostalgia. I'm glad they did such a fine job.

And in relation to the title, I guess they were forced to use Again instead of Now because Marvel was using that title already. Pity I wanted to see Kermit The Frog lose his body to one of the Moopets....;)

Kind of disappointed with the plot, as from the original run of Muppets movies, the second one also was about stealing a diamond (Great Muppet Caper). With all the wackiness that comes with the Muppets, you'd think they could come up with an original idea.

Anyone notice how this has a lot of corresponding points with The Great Muppet Caper where Miss Piggy is made the fall guy for a jewel thief. I mean I will want to see this movie I loved everything that was The Muppets it was amazing and had me crying during a couple of the songs.

Looking forward to this! The first one was pretty funny. Also, I'm a huge Ricky Gervais fan. He should have hosted this year's Golden Globes again.

Really didn't like the Muppets reboot, I just didn't get any joy from it.
Awful title, too.
