FAN ART: STAR WARS Meets MARVEL With 'Iron Trooper', 'Darth Doom' & 'Mace Fury'

Deviant Artist Robert Shane has come up with these awesome Marvel/Star Wars character mashups. There's only three for now (Darth Vader meets Dr. Doom, Iron Man meets a Storm Trooper and Mace Windu meets Nick Fury) but I think you'll agree they're well worth checking out.

"I've drawn plenty of crossovers and imagined encounters of a variety of characters from separate sci-fi and fantasy universes. Some of them I've drawn simply for fun, others just because I think they look cool together. But the crossovers that I think have the greatest possibility of happening are a meeting of Star Wars and Marvel. Star Wars and Marvel have a long history together - with George Lucas utilising Marvel comic artist Howard Chaykin to create a (legendary) poster to drum up interest in the original Star Wars movie before it even came out. Chaykin also drew the Marvel comic adaptation - which began the run of over 100 issues of Marvel's Star Wars comic-book. Of course, Dark Horse have done, and are doing, a fantastic job now of keeping a strong comic-book presence for Star Wars. But, now that Marvel and Star Wars are both owned by Disney, isn't it only be a matter of time before the two are reunited? And if, or when, that happens - perhaps we might even see an 'amalgam' universe (remember the 'Amalgam Comics' line from the 1990s which merged characters from the Marvel and DC comics universes?)! At least - that's the feel I wanted to capture with my trilogy of Star Wars and Marvel crossovers."

I'm sure we'll get some more of these from Shane, but until we do, which characters do you think would mash well together?
