FIRST LOOK: Watch the Opening Scene to Joss Whedon's IN YOUR EYES

Before he delivered 2012's game changing The Avengers, Joss Whedon scripted a sci-fi romance called In Your Eyes. It was the first feature length film to be produced under Whedon's independent production company, Bellweather, and was directed by Battle of the Year script writer, Brin Hill. The story follows Dylan (Cloverfield's Michael Stahl-David) and Rebecca (Ruby Spark's Zoe Kazan), "two seemingly polar opposites are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined". Principal photography was completed way back in March 2012 but the film seemed to fade into obscurity not long after. Finally, the film is set to debut at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and we now have a first look at the picture, courtesy of the folks over at Entertainment Weekly.

Personally, I think it looks quite cheap and has a bit of a 'Lifetime movie" vibe to it. Hopefully the script will overcome any of it's shortcomings on display during the opening scene. What do you think?

Has the quality of a T.V. Show, but it could be good...?

It doesn't look bad. I'm probably going to see it, but I'm a huge fan of Whedon anyway.
