We are all fans of a little book series called A Song of Ice and Fire which is written by author and comic fan George R.R. Martin. The critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones (2011 - ) ,which has gathered record number amounts of viewers for the broadcasting company of HBO, is based on Martin's amazing book series. The A Song of Ice and Fire book series has sold over 25 million books in North America alone and many of his books have been on the New York Time Best Sellers List. While attending the Edinburgh Book Festival George R.R. Martin was bombarded by questions about both the HBO show and his next book The Winds of Winter. When the author was asked if fans have figured out the ending to the book series the author responed by saying:

"So many readers were reading my books with so much attention that they were throwing up some theories and while some of those theories were amusing bull--- and creative, some of the theories are right. At least one or two readers had put together the extremely subtle and obsucre clues that I planted in the books and came to the right conclusion. " Also later George R.R. Martin added "I've wrestled with this issue, because I do want to surprise my readers. I hate predictable fiction as a reader, I don't want to write predictable I wrestled with that issue and came to the conclusion that changing it would be a disaster, because the clues were there. You can't do that, so I'm just going to go ahead. Some of my readers who don't read the boards, which thankfully there are hundreds of thousands of them, will still be surprised and other readers will say "see, I said that four years ago, I'm smarter than you guys.

Intresting comments! I for one can not wait to see what happens next. Do any of you have your own theories on how it will all end? I believe it will be a happy ending where no fan favorite characters are bruatally murderd.

@Emjeed if he really thinks he is clever and that is the end it's the dumbest most obvious thing ever. I hate pseudo intellectualism it's rampant and idiotic.

I'm pretty clear about Jon Snow's true parentage. If you pay attention to the clues you can figure it out. And it seems that he won't be changing his mind about it.

But this does not mean he will end on the iron throne when everything is said and done. And judging from Martin's track record, we all know damn well that no one is safe, no matter who they are.

But the one thing they need to do with this series is adapt the final book to a film trilogy and take to the big screen.
