GOTHAM EP Teases What's To Come Over The Next Few Weeks

Fox's Batman origin story returned to our screens with its mid-season première last night, and opened the doors to the iconic Arkham Asylum. But what can we expect to see as we build towards the season finale? Executive Producer Bruno Heller drops a few hints...

Gotham returned for the second half of its freshman season last night with "Rouges' Gallery", and we caught up with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he started work at Arkham Asylum. We were also introduced to a new character in Morena Baccarin's Doctor Leslie Thompkins, who's expected to become more than just friends with the only honest cop in Gotham City. In an in-depth interview with THR, executive producer Bruno Heller talks about various aspects of teh show, from the initial fan response to the evolving relationships between the characters, and much more. But most interestingly, he gives us an idea of what's to come over the next few weeks, and teases some "shocking" developments for Selina (Camren Bicondova) and Fish (Jada Pinkett Smith) in particular.

"You’re going to see Nygma take a giant step forward into becoming the man he becomes. You’re going to see Fish Mooney placed in a situation where it’s almost unimaginable how she’ll get out of it. Her relationship with Butch and Penguin are going to be pushed to the limit. Selina Kyle’s going to do something incredibly shocking — also, so’s Fish, come to that. One of the things about the second half of the season is that all the story we’ve set up so far comes to fruition. Some people come to an end, other people are triumphant. Gordon is…no, I can’t go there. I almost told you the story, and I can’t. But I guarantee that, if you liked the first half of the season, you’ll love the second half."

It was a good episode last night. Wasn't really sure which way Butch was going to go, but liked the direction they went in. And I'm glad they decided to not kill the villain immediately this time. Gotta have some recurring villains through the show's run.

Man, this is the best show on TV right now!!! I love gangster drama, and they're mixing it in very seamlessly with the DC Universe, very noir!!! I'm a Marvel guy, but Gotham is boss on TV!!!

Glad they're going to put more focus on Ed Nygma. "Gotham" is my third favorite CB show, behind "Arrow" and "The Flash". I am looking forward to seeing where "Agent Carter" will fall into my favorite list. By the way, "Constantine" is 4th. and "AoS' pulls in last (not because I'm a bigger DC than Marvel fan, or not. I just think those other shows are more entertaining).

The chemistry between Harvey and Gordon is awesome.I liked the Harvey actor ever since he played the King in Vikings and that Marshal guy in Sons of Anarchy.Brings great charisma to the otherwise unknown character.
Love Penguin and I cant wait to see how he is gonna take it all XD

Just kill off Barbara. It's no fault of Erin Richards, but every time she's on screen, I feel like shooting my self. The writers also suck at writing women in general, but everything on the show is somewhere between tolerable and pretty good, except for Barbara Kean.

Also, they need to slow their role on future Bat villains. No Harley. No Joker (certainly not until the VERY end of the series). Just ignore Harvey Dent, you guys messed up that. Concentrate on the lesser known rogues, like ratcatcher or something if we must have early rogues.

@aknightinarkham I did not seen him in Blade..Also I agree if Barbara was dead I was going to be happy. When I see her on the screen I simply skip the scene.Poor Montoya i like her but that blonde fool is always there. And what is with hating Jim?! Why?! XD
