Comic Book Resources were at Friday's "Marvel: The Heroic Age: Avengers" panel where Brian Michael Bendis and Joe Quesada were talking what's in store for Avengers, New Avengers, and more. Check out some highlights from the panel.

"New Avengers" would soon move to a storyline delving into the mystical and magical side of Marvel as the team searches for the lost child of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. "This will hopefully shape Marvel magic into something great and conceivable." Not all the heroes will make it out of the first arc, he explained.

Issue #4 of "Avengers" will feature Galactus,

The Red Hulk will join the Avengers staring in issue #7, the start of the second arc.

"Ultimate Comics Spider-Man" #16 is the 150th issue of "Ultimate Spider-Man" all together, and Bendis promised the book would be an extra-sized anniversary issue to mark both that occasion and the 10th anniversary of the Ultimate Universe.

After Shadowland there will be a New Man Without Fear.

When asked about how stable the lineups of the Avengers teams would be, Bendis joked, "After issue #5, nothing will happen until #20."

Fraction was asked whether his new "Thor" run would follow in the footsteps of his previous series set in the hero's Viking past, the writer said it would be "Much more in the sort of Kirby spacey tradition." The book will be "born of the end of Kirby's run where there's a spacey energy and glow...it feels very futurey and far-reaching rather than backwards-looking."

Another question was the future of "Runaways." Cebulski promised that the characters would soon be popping up across the Marvel Universe and that they were building up to something very big for the characters for new of which you'd have to "wait and see."

well, there goes my hope that Red Hulk will be killed off by the end of World War Hulks. That character's existence is a mockery to Hulk fans everywhere.

@Anil: You seen previews for Ultimate Mystery? Ultimate Captain Marvel is acting like a 13 year old Peter Parker. I'm getting closer to jumping on the "I hate what Brian Michael Bendis is doing" bandwagon.

Also, I think at a recent X-Panel someone let is slip that Gambit is the next "man without fear." It's kinda sad I think. Maybe if they kill off Matt Murdock and then bring him back people will be interested in Dare Devil again.

I will read EVERY issue of Ultimate Comics Thor, though I'm pretty confident it will suck. Can someone please get Mark Millar back on Ultimates? The Ultimate universe used to be the more "realistic", "modern" universe and now we have trolls parading through New York, Captain Marvel is a clown who talks too much about nothing, Thing hatched into Mystical-Purple-Man, and superpowers for everyone! At least Ultimate Avengers doesn't suck that much (except for Punisher wearing a skin tight GIJoe accelerator suit). If you've read this far, thanks for reading my rant.
Truth is, I came back to comics on the Ultimate line. It's my crack, my dope, my stash, my heroin. Even if it sucks and destroys my life, I'll keep coming back to it because I'm addicted.

On second thought, Rulk could be Ok as long as it becomes firmly established that the original Hulk is the strongest there is. And how fair is it that Rulk can just absorb anyone's energy right out of them? Ah! Who am I kidding? How can Hulk be alone and outcast if there's like 7 Hulks? (Quick count: Hulk, Rulk, Lira, Jeniffer Walters, Rick Jones, Betty-Red-She-Hulk, Skaar--yup 7). I'm hoping that Banner and Betty can make a deal with Mephisto to erase everything Hulk for the last 2 years in exchange for their un-marriage. Maybe Banner can get Dr. Strange and Reed Richards to make everyone in the world forget about the excess Hulks. Come on Marvel! If there were a time to hit the magical reset button of total BS, now is the time!
