THE TOP SUMMER MOVIES THAT HOPEFULLY WONT DISSAPOINT

The summer movie season is in full effect. Studios have been marketing their films in the hopes that we the audience will be clamoring to theaters to see them. After seeing The Amazing-Spiderman 2 I can say that I am not in a rush to a movie theater for quite some time. I am in fact kind of scared. Movies as of late have been very average and generic in some cases. I am primarily interested in 4 movies this summer. I believe that these movies overall will be the best movies this summer.

Godzilla is the first one. This movie has been advertised very well. It has a mysterious feel and also a desperate tone to it. Initially when I heard about this movie I didn’t care to see it, but the first trailer had me hooked. I honestly think that overall this movie could have the best story this summer. I hope that it’s above average. Some of the reviews for it have been ok, but I’m optimistic.

Transformers: Age of Extinction. I have seen all of the previous installments and I appreciate them for what they are. Michael Bay knows how to do action. I won’t go out of my way to defend him, because ultimately this is my opinion. The reason why I’m excited for this movie is of course mainly for the entertainment. I’m also hoping that they made a story that is as good as the first movie. The first movie really let you enjoy each individual robot. It wasn’t like the last two were there were so many robots and they only focused on a few. The first movie had the most intensity as well because the story was smaller. The movie having a smaller budget also makes things different. Michael Bay tends to do film better movies with smaller budgets. Robots fighting robots and humans killing robots pretty much sums up these films, to expect anything else would be like going to Burger King and getting a Mcdouble.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is another movie that I think could have a great story. The last Apes movie was great I thought. It’s creepy seeing an animal act like a human. I really want to know what the final ultimatum will be with the humans and apes. The Apes mean no harm, but when the humans attack they become something else entirely. I want to see how the apes evolve and if they become even smarter in this new series. The moral confrontations between the species are what I’m excited for.

My final movie for the summer is the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I remember bashing this movie when they were in the early stages of making this movie. I couldn’t believe that they were changing so many things about the turtles. Once I saw the trailer everything changed. I was actually impressed by some of the visuals. I think that in order for this movie to be good they have to get the personalities right. They can’t slack on that at all. This is a movie that can bring back childhood memories. I really hope they don’t focus on the humans too much though; otherwise they will miss the point of the ninja turtles. Also the action has to be badass. Seeing a ninja turtle on a skateboard with rockets is awesome.

P.S. I’m also interested in seeing Guardians of the Galaxy but I don’t know enough about it yet.

Why would they be on your radar like a submerged submarine? Wouldn't they be just as easy if not easier to detect if they were not submerged?

Godzilla and GotG are the only ones I'm seeing in the theater. I'm stoked for them to finally introduce Marvel Cosmic.
