ALIEN: COVENANT - Check Out Some Of The First Reactions To The PROMETHEUS Sequel

The world premiere of Alien: Covenant took place in London last night and we have a handful of reactions from those in attendance. What was the verdict? You can find out after the jump...

Prometheus was a very divisive film. Some enjoyed it, but many were left fuming over some baffling character decisions and the fact that it was a prequel to Alien in only the very loosest sense. Sir Ridley Scott is looking to course correct with Alien: Covenant, a movie which appears to be taking the franchise back to its roots thanks to the Xenomorphs while also tying into the events of the original.

Following last night's world premiere, only a handful of screening reactions have surfaced, but they're all pretty positive as you can see below. We'll likely hear more from critics later this week, though.

Scott has big plans for the series from here, so Alien: Covenant needs to be a critical and commercial hit to ensure that it's here to stay. Time will tell on that
front, but share your thoughts down below.

@Tempo - geez, why are you so eager to tear down an alien movie. You must've known how off your comment was, but your salt forced you to post it anyways. Why so salty towards aliens? Just curious.

@AngryBillCipher - aw, now I have to change my initial psychological profile from insecure nerd to insecure nerd sociopath.

Unfortunately my cbm.com folder is full and I've run out of the official paper, so I'm just gonna write his name on a sticky note and then spit on it. That should do.

As I kid the idea of them scared me, still don't really watch them as an Adult but have gone back and checked out the clips of a few and weren't as bad as I imagined.
Still will never watch Exorcist.

@SimplyAz - I was TERRIFIED of the child's play/Chucky movies, when I was like five my parents must have left the TV on in the living room and I stayed up and watched it while everyone was asleep. Traumatized me, not until very recently did I go back and watch them did I realize just how bad those movies are.

@MRjordansurf -

My mum said that my fear of them came, when as a young kid, I woke up and went downstairs and she was watching one and I saw a bit.
Absolutely petrified of Freddy Kreuger and Pinhead.

Same as you I went and watched them and found it to be a bit silly.

@SimplyAz - you should just watch it. It's not scary at all. Granted, I love horror movies so im pretty desensitized but even then, not scary at all.

It's coming on the heels of Prometheus, so my hopes aren't high. I hope it's good...
MitchConner
MitchConner - 5/5/2017, 4:15 AM
@MattBellissimo - I think it's probably because I wasn't an Alien fan (or I didn't watch all the movies), but unlike a lot of people I liked Prometheus a lot, as well as AVP and Predators... I was a Predator fan but the AVPs didn't bother me...but I never got the hate for Prometheus, I understood the point, this was separate, and I am a little disappointed we don't get to follow Elizabeth to paradise to see how f'd up the world was for her
MitchConner
MitchConner - 5/5/2017, 4:16 AM
@MitchConner - I was more interested in Ridley's take on the creators than the aliens, world building was cooler to me, aliens are aliens, seen them before
