Prometheus was a very divisive film. Some enjoyed it, but many were left fuming over some baffling character decisions and the fact that it was a prequel to Alien in only the very loosest sense. Sir Ridley Scott is looking to course correct with Alien: Covenant, a movie which appears to be taking the franchise back to its roots thanks to the Xenomorphs while also tying into the events of the original.

Following last night's world premiere, only a handful of screening reactions have surfaced, but they're all pretty positive as you can see below. We'll likely hear more from critics later this week, though. 

Scott has big plans for the series from here, so Alien: Covenant needs to be a critical and commercial hit to ensure that it's here to stay. Time will tell on that
