We're just a day away from the third and presumably final trailer for J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and to add to the hype, Universal Pictures has debuted the official theatrical poster for the highly-anticipated blockbuster.

Check out the new poster below:

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. The idea is fine, the execution.... no so much.

I thought it wasn't a poster at first, but it doesn't look bad. They sure are keeping under wraps the new hybrid they created.

@NinnesMBC -
"They sure are keeping under wraps the new hybrid they created."

What are you on about... the new hybrid is the raptor-esque Dinosaur in the child's bedroom that was the focus of the trailer and has been shown off in toys and other media :s

@Scarilian - Well it IS a new hybrid of sorts right? :P

I admit I've been following few this one so I must have gotten confused. But I am okay with it, less know the more surprises, right?

@NinnesMBC - It's basically a smaller Indominus Rex. Black coloring, and raptor claws on the feet. Nothing super exciting honestly. Isla Nublar blowing up and the dinos relocating around the world is far more interesting.

Nothing about this movie looks good. Nothing APPEALS.

A dull, monotone trailer. An ugly, overly busy poster. Honestly, I keep forgetting this movie is even a THING.

So I guess I am in the minority and think this actually looks good. When I say good, I mean from an entertainment perspective. I do not need some deep and complex story for every movie I see. Sometimes just some good action and excitement is good enough for me.

@HulkSmash3455 - Naw I'm with you, all I want to see is people screaming and running from some crazy looking dinosaurs and a couple dino on dino fight scenes just for the hell of it.

"The Park is Gone" is lame. Just stick with Life Finds A Way. That's a great line, it embodies what you're going for, just be cool about it guy

Man! Humans sure are stupid in the Jurassic Park movie universe aren't they?

First they create dinosaurs, dinosaurs break free and destroy park and eat some people. People leave the park and decide to leave the dinosaurs to themselves.

People for some reason go back to the park two more times and repeat the events of the first movie.

Then, as if that wasn't enough to teach everyone a lesson, they decide to go back to the island and start the whole process again on a larger scale with Jurassic World and now, instead of letting nature take care of the dinosaurs, they decide to yet again go back to the island to save the dinosaurs and no doubt more people will be eaten.

@bcom - Man, they really didn't clue Joe Public on the fact that there's two islands in the films, did they?

Isla Nublar-JP & JW

Isla Sorna-TLW & JPIII

And now Nublar is blowing up. According to the viral marketing, the dino population of Sorna have been poached or died off due to disease.

@Optimist18 - Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that. One island is where the research and breeding was done and the other was where the park was.

Optimist18 - 4/17/2018, 9:03 PM
@bcom - Yep. There's some folks who think it's been the same island, every film.

But hey, I only expect very observant viewers or JP nerds to know the truth. ;)

THE PARK IS HISTORY sounds better. You know, because of the dinosaurs and... nevermind

They're trying to relocate the dinosaurs, right? Where are they taking them?
