STAR TREK SATURDAY | STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME

Here we are, a month in to the Star Trek Saturday series and we've reached "the one with the whales". The Voyage Home features the weirdest plot of them all, yet its the most humble.

After the solid Search for Spock, the Star Trek franchise set out to do something different. With Nimoy still in the Director's seat, the Trek universe took to doing a time travel movie, where the crew of the enterprise travel back to the mid-80s to save the humpback whales. Just by reading the sypnopsis, it sounds like a disaster, but thanks to some excellent direction and screenwriting, this happens to be one of the better Trek films, and in my humble opinion, THE best. I can watch this film over and over and never grow tired of it. Its comedic timing and sense of urgency in its plot really make this a thoroughly entertaining watch. Full review below:

I will say, I don't like most star trek, but this is one of my favorite films.
