First Glimpse Of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI BTS Footage In Touching Video Tribute To Carrie Fisher

At the conclusion of a panel celebrating 40 years of Star Wars, a moving video tribute for the late Carrie Fisher aired which includes a first look at the iconic actress in The Last Jedi!

Today's Star Wars panel at Celebration in Orlando didn't bring any big reveals or announcements (where's that Obi-Wan Kenobi movie?), but it did feature surprise messages from the likes of Liam Neeson and Samuel L. Jackson along with an appearance from Harrison Ford. However, things wrapped up on a poignant note when Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd introduced the following video.

If you're a fan of the late actress - and let's face it, who isn't? - this should definitely bring a tear to your eye, but keep a watch out and you'll notice that it also contains our first look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That movie's trailer is expected tomorrow, but here, we get to see Fisher on set with director Rian Johnson wearing a pretty sombre looking outfit on what may or may not be a Resistance
base..

Anyway, check out the video below and share your thoughts down in the comments section.

@McGee - Apparently they're using older footage for the last film.. I doubt she'll be in it much one way or the other.

@McGee - What do you mean? She finished all her footage for The Last Jedi. And they're figuring something out for the final movie. I reckon they'll move some of her story from the Last Jedi to Episode 9, and then do Ep.8 reshoots to fix anything that messes up.

@RorMachine - I read all her parts for VIII, and promonet role, were finished before her passing. IX is another story. Her was to be bigger.

@RorMachine - I know I read on here somewhere that that she had a prominent role in both, so I could see how we'll see much less of her by spreading the footage out.

That said, is it me, or doesn't she look much older in the video that as compared to her farewell to Rey at the end of TFA? Maybe they shot some future scenes to show as force visions that Kylo sees? Or Rey? I think it would be interesting to have Kylo see his mother die in a force vision, and thus create internal conflict to make him more vulnerable, say to an attack by Luke… Or Rey.

Who's knows? Just a thought... now if it could just be tomorrow already I'd be happy!

@DarthGrizzly - I feel like he was probably afraid to say a lot. He's been removed from this world for a while.

@BlackBeltJones - I guess, but there was only one question towards him and thats about it. They could've just asked him how he landed the role of Anakin, cause that question was asked to nearly all the cast that came up on stage.
