The final trailer for
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker offered a tantalising glimpse of the returning Emperor Palpatine, as we saw the iconic villain towering over Rey in what appeared to be a robotic throne of some sort (presumably because he's far too old and weak to move around by himself).
Now, Alamo Drafthouse has revealed a series of limited edition pint glasses which will be available to those who see the movie at one of their theaters. Designed by Cesar Moreno, they reveal what may or may not be our first look at how the Emperor will appear in
The Rise of Skywalker.
He's been kept under wraps until now, and while it's entirely possible that this could just be the artist's interpretation of how Palpatine could appear in the movie, it would be a little odd for the villain to just randomly be included here when he's not been on any of the posters.
Either way, he looks extremely evil, and possibly more ancient than when we last saw him, but it's honestly hard to say for sure.

What do you guys think? Could this be our first look at the villainous Emperor's return?
