We obviously saw the shot below in the recently released trailer, but this is the clearest version to date! Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow had this to say about that mysterious new dinosaur who will be causing our heroes a serious problem in the 2015 movie."There are dinosaurs and there’s the other—there’s this thing that is not one of them, that is not of them. There’s a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I’m pushing it as far forward as I can. I know Steven didn’t want me to make a carbon copy of the earlier films. So we’re going for it." As for Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt, he had this to say about taking on a role in one of his favourite franchises. "I grew up loving Jurassic Park and these epic spectacle. I saw [the first one] opening night in the theater. It was a huge moment for me." What do you guys think?

Heart of Glass should play during this scene.

I would've liked it better if this shot had the raptors and Pratt running away together from the new dino. Like, they couldn't be bothered with eating Pratt because of the MUCH bigger threat behind them. I think that would've been a much cooler image than Pratt with some of his raptor buddies.

Still have high hopes for the movie though!

Pratt? Good. Dinosaurs. Gooder. Pratt leading a fire-team of velociraptors on a motorcycle? Genius. This movie is going to make a fortune.

I saw a comment yesterday I cant remember from who that said these raptors are trained. That isnt correct there was info about it in some article, I cant remember which one.

It said they accept Pratt as one of them. That is why he can hunt with, ride his bike, and just be around them without getting torn apart.

Gusto, my cat didn't like my last comment, so he deleted it........help me.

@XTankDX

Not really sure how I feel about that, if that is true. I like the idea of him taming raptors like a lion tamer.

@TheEpicJuicebox

Well, you asked for it...

1.) Pratt and the Raptor Squad?
2.) Theres more cgi then animatronics?
3.) Clumsey children will somehow prolong the story?
4.) Where's the security/armed forces just in case of a "what if situation?"
5.) After 3 horrific events following the dinosaurs they still manage to re-open the park?
6.) No Dr.Grant?
7.) No Goldblum?
8.) DNA splicing to create an even more untameable creature?
9.) I bet WONG will end up being killed off, you know hollywood won't make it easy for the diverse characters.
10.) I'm sure there will be a sequel even with all of these catastrophic events that would have happened on the island?
11.) despite everything I said I'll still see this film. LOL

I was skeptical but the trailer makes me think I might like it.

But I am still skeptical. I thought the new godzilla looked amazing but the lead character ruined a lot if it. I don't think Chris Pratt will be a turd in this though.

To me it seems that the raptors were released as a diversion, and the fact they aren't eating Chris Pratt is because they are all running away from the New Hybrid Dinosaur

@XTankDX - Excellent finds. Those articles should be read by anyone unsure about this movie. Restores my excitement about this movie.

"Honestly, the biggest misconception on this movie is that there’s some massive conference room at the studio where all these cynical story decisions are made. There is no committee. Universal has given us the resources to tell the story we want to tell, on the scale we want to tell it. Will this one be different from the other movies? You bet it will. And I’m not going to pass the buck if it doesn’t work. This one’s on me."

If only studios like FOX and SONY could take a page from Universal...

"Trained Raptors", yeah I need a good explanation on how raptors can all of a sudden be trained.
ScionStorm

@sKeemAn Don't be silly. The raptors are the park security. They are simply escorting Chris Pratt to safety.

I have to crack up at those questioning trained raptors. Are you guys forgetting that this is a movie about people somehow being able to breed dinosaurs?
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 12/18/2014, 6:59 PM
@Ramiel

The fictional element of breeding Dinosaurs, which is a core part of the series, doesn't make Raptor-training any less unappealing just because it's also a fictional element. JP is an adventure based on human survival against a prehistoric threat. It has previously bordered on horror.

When the hero starts riding with Raptors, a crucial element is lost from the series- even worse when we applaud the scene. Because now, they'll have to become even more ridiculous and further away from the foundation to entertain us.

Funny, many people regard Chrystal Skulls swinging of the monkeys' with Shia LaBeouf to be an abomination to the Indy films. Hi, this is the exact same thing.
