JURASSIC PARK 4 Will Make You "Want To Keep The Lights On" Says Paleontologist

Jack Horner, who was a dinosaur consultant for the original Jurassic Park and will be advisor for the fourth installment, teases the inclusion of a previously extinct creature in the Colin Trevorrow-directed sequel and that it may be scarier than the other movies.

Speaking with USA Today while promoting this week's release of Jurassic Park 3D, paleontologist and dinosaur consultant Jack Horner (who was an advisor for the Steven Spielberg-directed original) gives a better idea for what to expect in the recently announced fourth film, which he is also involved with. Recently, Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) signed on to direct, with Spielberg on board as an executive producer. Here, Horner reveals that "a new, previously extinct creature" will rise to stardom in Jurassic Park 4, and hints that the fourquel will be scarier than the prior films. "I can't actually tell you who that will be. But you'll want to keep the lights on after you see this movie." What dinosaurs would you like to see in Jurassic Park 4? For more from Horner, click the source link below.

With filming rumored to begin early this summer, Jurassic Park 4 is slated for a June 13th, 2014 release. The script was written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes).

Mosasaurus, plesiosaurus/elasmosaurus (Nessie), and other marine reptiles are not dinosaurs. They belong to a separate evolutionary branch.

Go to jurassicpark.wikia.com, and lok up Troodon. I think this is a top contender for the species Jack Horner is referring to.

They should get Bear Grylls.

A new, previously extinct creature? So it's not a dinosaur

Yes please to a Megaladon!

Honestly either give us a sequel that is actually good or let the franchise die with dignity

I was hoping for more screen time with a flying dino like Pteranodon but Archaeopteryx would be more frightening.

Well as long as there's badass T-Rex's involved I'm in, just because that was like THE movie monster for me when I was a kid

If its a mageladon that would be awesome! But I want some sea creatures to mix it up/wonder how they keep them inside the boundaries of the island

We need hybrid/mutant dinosaurs! I'm guessing Gigantosaurus or Therizinosaurus!

I was also thinking that a Megalodon could make a great appearance. Maybe the group has to escape the island on a boat and BANG! MEGALODON ATTACK! Then the movie would suddenly turn like Jaws.

I'd also like to see some sea-dino's! That's something I'm definitely interested in.

Hope it goes well with this one. The first film is still amazing, second and third are kinda meh...

Baddest Carnivorous Dinosaurs to use in JP4

I give you MEGARAPTOR which was 26 feet long and 9 feet high! Kinda makes those Spielberg Velociraptors seem small even though they were about three times larger than they should have been.
Megaraptor photo: Megaraptors megaraptor.jpg

Megaraptor size versus the other huge Raptor, Utahraptor.

GIGANOTOSAURUS

And of course REMATCH between the Spino and the TRex

I can't wait to see this. Not to go off topic but I have to bring it up. Why does no video game company make a game like Far Cry but with dinosaurs instead or a game like Left For Dead but instead of killing zombies Dino's. I am not trying to say zombies aren't scary but next to Dino's they are not.
