Social media reactions to Universal's latest Jurassic World movie have been coming in since the embargo lifted this morning, and it's looking like Dominion is going to be the most divisive instalment in what was already shaping up to be a highly divisive trilogy. However, a handful of full reviews have also been shared on Rotten Tomatoes, and they tell a slightly different story.
Though some certainly seemed to enjoy the "big, dumb" spectacle, most of the Tweets we've seen are either mixed-negative or outright blasting Dominion as a massive disappointment. One critic even compares the film to Roland Emmerich's disastrous '90s Godzilla reboot (ouch).
Meanwhile, of the eight reviews posted to RT, seven are "Fresh" and only one is "rotten" (the movie currently sits at 88%). We're not sure why there's such a disparity here, but it might be worth noting that the review embargo doesn't officially lift until tomorrow, so we may well see that score drop significantly.
Check out the Twitter reactions below.
Though specific plot details remain under wraps, a vague synopsis tells us that "Four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, dinosaurs now live--and hunt--alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures."
Jurassic World Dominion is set for release on June 10.
