JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM Honest Trailer Proves That Dumb Will Always Find A Way

The Screen Junkies crew have pulled no punches with their latest "Honest Trailer", which zeroes in on the sillier elements - and let's be honest, there's a lot of 'em - of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom...

"Bid farewell to your Jurassic Park fandom, as it's slowly and painfully choked to death by the smoldering ash of the thing you once loved."

A bit harsh? Nah.

Despite doing enough business to join the billion dollar club, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom received a decidedly mixed response from critics, many of whom honed in on the cavalcade of silly plot decisions, moronic moments and bland, one-dimensional characters. Not too surprisingly, this Honest Trailer does the same.

Check out the funny, but also depressingly accurate parody trailer below and let us know what you think. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is out on Blu-ray and DVD now.

The first thing I thought of after seeing this movie in the theater was, "I can't wait for the Honest Trailer!" I was not disappointed.

This and it's predecessor were quite terrible. Glad Colin Treverrow wasn't allowed to do Star Wars 8 (or was it 9?) although I can't imagine even he could screw 8 up worse than Rian Johnson did. He IS the Rian Johnson of the Jurassic Park franchise, I guess.

I’m not sure a movie exists with more stupid people making stupid decisions at every opportunity. It was f*cking stupid to the point I couldn’t believe how daft some of these characters are.

got some wtf moments, some might say dumb moments, lame villain, weird plot involving child ...

but it's still entertaining movie.

@jerryblake - yes, im think the same, had the dumbest decisions, but its a pretty entretaining film.
I founded more entretaining if you imagine the last one never happened.

I liked the opening sequence and there was SOME tension in the museum sequence, but other than that it I pretty much detested it.

@RorMachine - I started like an ok sequel to Jurassic World imo, but then it shifted into a completly different movie that could might as well be called "Jurassic Mansion". Or "Jurassic Evil". I was almost expecting Jill Valentine to show up at one point.
And I do not get how "life will find a way" this time since it was only one of each kind let lose... Will they cross breed??

@RorMachine - They f*cked that scene up,if you look at the center of the map you'll see that giant area of water where that dinosaur jumped out of the water and ate the shark.

So that opening scene where they try to escape the island in the chopper & that guy is on the rope ladder and they are making their way across the sea that water dinosaur leaps out of the sea and eats him,how is that even possible? Did they move the whole of the sea world show area to the edge of the island so to make that scene possible.

Yeah it was dumb but I kinda liked it. Guilty pleasure I guess. Same with the 2nd and 3rd Pirates movies and Transformers 1&3

JW: FK

Was the first film where we noticed that Rotten Tomatoes really jumps the gun on writing up their ‘Critical Concensious’

They went to print with something with very few reviews and the film only in the low 70s. Prettty sure they switched the summary after it plummeted.

This is probably the second or third best film in the Jurassic Park franchise, depending on how you feel about The Lost World.

1. Jurassic Park
2. The Lost World
3. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
4. Jurassic Park III
5. Jurassic World

I remember having a discussion with another user on this site (it might’ve been Nebula, I don’t remember) before this movie came out about how it could potentially be this year’s The Last Jedi.

It’s not.

It’s this year’s The Last Knight.

@MUTO123 - Not really though? The Last Knight was a far cry box office wise was previous entries ($600m WW)while retaining generally the same quality as past Transformers films - but JW:FK still made $1.3Bil...where are you pulling that comparison from?

@ThorArms - I’m talking in terms of movie quality, like in terms of character and logic and continuity and basic story structure (or lack thereof).
