A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and starring Jaden Smith, Will Smith, Isabelle Fuhrman and Zoë Kravitz, After Earth is set to hit theatres on June 7, 2013.

Given the name and the appearance of Earth in the trailer, I predict the twist at the end is they are in the past, not the future.

@MarvelPsycho79 Not many people have heard or seen Chadwick Boseman yet,but he's starring as Jackie Robinson next year in that film "42" with Harrison Ford.I could definitely see him,Aldis Hodge or my personal and favorite pick, NATE PARKER, for the role of T'Challa

just say the trailer and I'm actually interested. I'm just a bit confused. I thought the Earth was trashed and poisonous or something. Looks like it's still pretty nice with wild life and everything. I'll agree with you all though, M Night has been trash for awhile now. Fool me once shame on you, fool me what is this? 5 times STILL shame on me.

Will Cypher declare his allegiance to angus in this one also? I'd love for this film to be a success, but after what Sham-longah-ding-dong has done to me the last (4?) outings..., once again I must ask why this guy(not that he's not worthy) of a 60grand pic at this point, but why does he still get tentpoles? Who and what dirt does he have? "Where? Who? Summer, summer, summer..,time!" Label me as a hater.., or an accurate non-biased supporter of righteousness throughout daily living; if that helpas your daily living. Of course that would not be a goal of a lower income family or fan of Chan's KK.., yeah.

Note to Will Smith's son: "whatever you need!"

Just look at those Beiber instagrams.., once again.., pathetic. Puberty. Millions. Puberty. Millions. Puberty. Insecure businessmen. Puberty. Millions.

Your mom is onboard today(if it bothers you little man.., evaluate and progress forward.., otherwise.., sorry I'm pure jewish raised in the midwest.., I'm a backstabber.., move on. Yep, you all used technology to advance greed & idiocy(the two go hand and hand). So you've occupied space crafts with Jersey Shore members and "My Fair Brady" eps. Curry.., what drug gets you through it? I've spent some time on that shore, have abs and a great creative spirit.., oh wait, you're here for a marketable dollar.., I'm sorry.., it's like you read my mind: the Soup.
